"The staff here is wonderful. The breakfast setting cannot be beat and the biggest extensive. Because it is an old building there are two steps in certain places so if that is an issue for you get a porter for luggage. The furniture in n my small room( I had classic room rate) was small and the furniture dark and massive. The window was stain glass so to get a view I had to open the window which then opened it for mosquitos. I saw other rooms and they were larger and more light filled. Book one category up is my advice. Location was good. I would definitely rebook but different category room."

"This place is wonderful. Perfect location close enough to the Ponte Vecchio but far enough from it that the foot traffic feels at arms length. The front desk staff is super warm and the location is beautiful. Make sure to check out the courtyard next to the front desk area and also the stunning roof top bar views. I found this spot to be exactly where I wanted to start and finish my daily walking journeys. Slip into the nearby side streets for some great cafes, restaurants and Osterias."

"The apartment itself was excellent. Both bedrooms and bathrooms were beautifully maintained, extremely comfortable, and well equipped. The living area was spacious, with everything needed for a pleasant stay, including a balcony and excellent walk-in showers. A special mention must go to Alberto and Sania, who were outstanding throughout our visit. I have some mobility difficulties, and they were always kind, attentive, and willing to help. Nothing was too much trouble, and they are a real credit to the property. Unfortunately, there were two aspects that prevented me from giving a higher rating. Firstly, the location is not as central as some visitors might expect from teh given description. For older travellers or anyone with mobility issues, many of Florence's main attractions involve a considerable walk or require a taxi. We walked back once and it really was a very long walk while the taxis are plentiful but will add to your budget. Secondly, we were uncomfortable being asked for a gratuity at check-out almost implication being 50 Euros per day would be immediately paid for from our credit card stored. We had already paid a substantial amount for the apartment, in addition to the city tax, and felt that a direct request for tips was inappropriate. We both are well above the retirement age but we both work and this was a very expensive hotel for 5 nights. Overall, the accommodation and staff support were excellent, but these two issues affected our experience."
