Posto incantato e strategico in un paesino, Fumone, che definirei "Acropoli" di Ciociaria... Struttura estremamente rilassante, arredata in modo originale e con molto gusto. Ambienti pulitissimi e personale molto cordiale e disponibile.

Un piccolo gioiello

La struttura è tanto affascinante quanto piccola. La camera, con travi a vista, si affacciava sui vicoli medioevali di Fumone; il giardino, con tanto di pozzo e sculture, un’oasi di tranquillità notturna. Gli spazi comuni altrettanto affascinanti. Però la struttura è molto piccola (solo sette camere), quindi la reception è aperta solo alcune ore al giorno (il check-in va fatto entro le 21, ad esempio), non c’è il frigo bar in camera, e neppure l’aria condizionata (ma in una delle notti più calde dell’anno non era neanche strettamente necessaria). Non si può arrivare in auto: bisogna parcheggiare all’ingresso del centro storico. Il wi-fi è disponibile ovunque (anche in giardino) ma la connessione è quella che ci si può aspettare in un paesino di montagna. Purché uno abbia presente i limiti intrinseci della struttura, è vivamente consigliata.

Sarò molto sintetico e veloce, La struttura è eccellente il personale molto cordiale e disponibile. Ma una cosa è certa non prenoterò mai più e non userò male più il portale expedia in quanto si sono degnati di comunicare la mia prenotazione solo dopo 12 ore del mio arrivo in struttura. Ringrazio vivamente il personale dell’albergo (considerando anche il numero di stanze) per aver comunque trovato il modo di alloggiarci. Torneremo sicuramente ma stavolta prenotando il tutto tramite altri portali.

Fumone, Frosinone, Italy

Fumone is one of a kind, a medieval town, as if time stood still. In a way I was disappointed because I was told that there is a good bus service to nearby towns, which I found to be totally untrue. If I was aware of this we would have rented a self drive car. We spent a lot of money on taxis which are very expensive. Another negative thing was that since it is not the peak of the tourism season, most of the establishments like restaurants were closed. One cannot find anything to eat before 8.00pm. I did some research before but I did not find a lot of information on this area.

Interesting experience in medieval hill top town

This small hotel is located in the medieval hill top town of Fumone some 75 K south of Rome. 800 years ago several Popes lived in the local castle probably for security or defensive reasons. The hotel is small with about 12 bedrooms. The views are spectacular. There is a need to carefully plan your trip to this hotel and town. A vehicle is essential. This is because there are no buses or taxis and the road up to the town is long (about 3 K) and very steep. There are no supermarkets to buy food supplies just restaurants and gift shops. The hotel is managed by staff at breakfast plus a cleaning lady. Therefore you need to communicate well ahead about detailed times of your arrival.
