The Maurushaus offers a beautiful historic stay in the old town of Füssen. We were welcomed by the owner who explained us about the attractions, activities in the area and gave us some tips. We got a big room on the first floor. Breakfast was simple but good enough for a short stay. The owner said guests can also buy their own breakfasts and eat here. We will stay here again if we pass this way.

Perfect place to stay when visiting the Bavarian castles - the house is over 700 years old which we thought was amazing, it’s well updated but maintains the original old world charm throughout. Rooms were comfortable, the host was incredibly kind and helpful, and breakfast was great as well. Fussen is such a cute town, we will definitely stay here again on our next visit!

It is always such a treat when someone opens up their home that is quite historic and to share some of the history with you. The proximity of the property to the train station was so convenient for our family.

Wonderful hotel in old building (i think he said 13th century). The couple running it are sweet and it is clearly a labor of love. Fantastic breakfast, cute cat to pet, comfortable beds and room. The town is lovely and well worth checking out too.

It’s a charming 700 years old house, located just in five minutes walk from train station and close to pedestrian street with restaurants and museum of Fussen. Alex (owner) provided all needed information about the aria and gave us bus tickets to go to castles. There is a kettle, microwave and small fridge at the room.

Fantastic budget place

Its not a 5* hotel. Its an old house without lift and you have to take some stairs to your room. It has very kind host who will help you on everything. Its very cheap, clean, spacey, fantastic location. Our room had even nice view.

Alex was an incredible host, he sat us down explained all the things to do in Fussen, got us set up with bus passes and got our car parked immediately and told us to leave it as long as we liked. We were so happy we booked a second night within an hour of being here. After walking around we realized we were basically in he middle of the old town with restaurants, shopping, bus routes etc right outside our doorstep. It is not hard to see why this place was given 10/10 it was our absolute favorite stay in Germany and many thanks to Alex and his family for opening up their home

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property in August. We had two different reservations so we stayed at two different family rooms which both were HUGE! Although this house is 720 years old, it is in perfect shape, the rooms are very bright and clean. The property owner did his best to accomodate us in every way. He provided us with Fussen city cards and even walked us downt to the bus stop(because he knew the shortcut). The location is also great and there is a private parking just right in front of the house. The old town, the house, the atmosphere all were magical. Super happy family here!
