Nestled along the Saco River, this historic town offers spectacular kayaking routes and hiking trails with White Mountain views. Visit during the Fryeburg Fair in autumn when Maine's largest agricultural festival brings livestock competitions, local crafts, and maple treats worth the trip.
The staff were friendly, the room was clean an comfortable. Breakfast was nice. Would have been nice to have some vegetables in the breakfast. Was nice and warming to have 24h hit Cider and apples available.

We had an excellent stay of 2 nights here. This is a newish property. The parking was easy and it was a great location as part of a trip to see New England in the fall. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. The whole hotel was very clean. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful.

An absolutely fabulous stay at the Old Saco Inn. Peter and Sandi were the perfect hosts and we had a thoroughly enjoyably evening with them and a few other guests in the on-site pub. Breakfast was fantastic and the house is set in beautiful surroundings and we made the most of the free canoes and kayaks - taking a row down the river on arrival.

Lovely hotel for a one night stay during our roadtrip. Unfortunately we were too early for the fall colours - but I can imagine they are spectacular from this hotel. Lovely touches at this hotel but be sure to book ahead for breakfast and dinner as they book up fast!! Unfortunately we didn't get to use the pool due to bad weather. The hot tub looked a bit tired. Good breakfast but not a buffet.

Our check in to this property was excellent. The owner was very friendly and efficient. He told us about the history of the property which was interesting and also gave us some good tips on where to go and things to see. Our room was a quaint cabin which was spacious and clean with comfortable beds. The area had lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel although the main area is quite a walk so you may want to take the car.
