"Family owned and operated. All staff were very helpful and pleasant. Very small place so make reservations early. Local folks. Knew where the "Mike the headless chicken" statue was located. I'd go back again and again."

"The room was clean and everything worked. The shower had great pressure, the bed and pillows comfortable. Very strong odor of Marijuana in the hall, but thankfully did not go into room much. Fix not eat breakfast at hotel so no comment on it."

"Our end of April stay was definitely off season and the property was calm and slow. The staff was excellent, very friendly and efficient. The afternoon complimentary glass of wine was very nice, we even enjoyed ours in the hot tub one afternoon. We booked through Expedia and felt the value was excellent at just over five hundred dollars for three nights including taxes and fees. We were able to walk to the pizza restaurant adjoining the property one night, drive just a couple of miles to a fun Mexican restaurant in Palisade the second night and eat in the tavern at the property the last night. All were excellent. Less than perfect was the fact that housekeeping failed to clean our room one day and the very mediocre breakfast. Very similar to a chain hotel breakfast with reconstituted eggs etc. We figured this to be due to it being off season so we just went out for breakfast. All in all though definitely overall a five star rating. Thank you Wine Country Inn."
