A very pleasant surprise is my reaction to the Balanced Rock Inn. Property is clean and the staff is very kind. The Inn has a hostel feel to it, which I liked. The rooms are clean and accomodating with a very nice updated bathroom and amenities. The only slight issue is the bedding that is all polyester. I broght my sleeping bag and my own pillows as a regular precaution when I travel and those came in handy. Cotton sheets would be a plus but understand the reasoning behind polyester for durability. I would gladly recomend this place to stay!

Room was in good condition and check in at night was excellent. We didn’t check in at the front desk we were given text message on how to check in. The text message has the name of the motel, room number, door code and the WiFi password. The only complaint I had was the smell of cigarettes it was hard to get a full nights sleep.

Clean room, staff on her job when it came to the code for the room and communication is spot on. Did I say clean room which if no one else appreciates I do. No smell whatsoever. Organization of room. This is going to be my new spot when I come back into and I come at least once a month for business. I am pleasantly excited about my stay. No worries or concerns that wasn't taken care of. Now this is how a Inn should be.

Definitely a basic breakfast, nothing hot, but ok. They have a code entry for the rooms. My room was switched from 2nd floor to 1st floor, which I appreciated. But at some point my door code didn’t work and I was locked out of my room. The office was closed at this point, so luckily I had my phone with me and I was able to leave a message. I decided to try the original code for the room I was originally assigned, and it worked! I did get a call back from the desk after I got back into my room. There may have been a technical glitch in the lock system that needs attention. Other than that, the room was good. One TV issue, though: No ABC, CBS, NBC. That was disappointing.

The room was clean and quiet. It had been renovated recently and they did a nice job of it. Breakfast was fine, though the breakfast area was a bit cramped. Though the motel sits close to a highway, we couldn't hear any road noise and slept very well. I took a walk in the neighborhood in the early evening and that was good too. The staff gave us a good recommendation on where to eat dinner too. We would stay there again.
