The cottages and setting were lovely but we felt we were penalised for staying here Mon/Tuesday at their cheaper rate. Check-in was instructions stuck to a door, although almost all cottages were empty we were put in the one by the staff/deliveries car park, our first breakfast had no pastry and no contact was made by a a single person there. We had a problem and had to go to the shop for help as reception was locked. The lady in the shop couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful.

Beautiful place to stay! The ladies on reception were incredibly friendly and kind—nothing was ever too much trouble. A real highlight was the picnic basket delivered to our room every morning, which was absolutely delicious. The pool area was stunning, with fresh towels provided daily, and there was a lovely open fire nearby where you could sit in the evening and truly relax.
