This is a delightful hotel it seems to grow out of the wall of the old city with fantastic views across wooded hills. The rooms are very comfortably and stylishly furnished and room 1 as well as a four post bed has its own private garden which is truly delightful to sit in during the summer. Lovely hotel in the heart of Rothenburg ob der Tober. A nice warm welcome, hotel staff were lovely especially in the morning at breakfast. Nice choice of food all served to our table. Our room was spacious and the bed was really comfortable. We have stayed at this hotel before and although it is under new ownership it still is perfect. Will definitely be back !!

We stayed room only and our expectations were exceeded. The communal kitchenette room was excellent as we were able to make fresh drinks and have access to a range of chilled beverages at fair prices. Ideal if you are a late arrival or hadn’t had a chance to pick up anything. The location was great as it was nice and quiet and a 1km good walk into town, welcome after a long drive. The host is a lovely gent and very welcoming. 100% recommendation.

Amazing, atmospheric place. Beautifully laid out to keep the feel of a fortified manor. My only disappointment was the bed. My room had two singles pushed together, which is fairly normal in Germany. However these were two narrow wooden beds, with the frames higher than the mattress. Whilst the style was in keeping with the room, the actual sleeping space was limited, and I kept kicking the frame during the night. Mattress was comfortable though.

A stunning place to stay within walking distance of Rothenburg. Beautifully appointed rooms and public spaces. Attention to detail was spot on. Cleanliness was outstanding and the staff were very helpful. Superb breakfast. One of the best rooms I have ever stayed in.

We have just spent a week in suite 34 of this wonderful hotel . A very special place in the centre of Rothenburg , with views from our balcony which were wonderful . Every morning a wonderful candle lit breakfast served by Karin , who couldn’t do enough for us . The staff here really care if you’re happy in the hotel and couldn’t do enough to help with restaurant recommendations at night . The town itself has an amazing variety of restaurants from Chinese , Indian , Greek and a Michelin...

This place is so beautiful!! Very clean and just perfect!

Friendly helpful staff, clean well appointed room with AC which was very welcome as we were staying during a heatwave! Excellent central location. Great breakfast. All in all I would happily stay again. The only suggestion is that if you have mobility issues, do mention it when booking, to avoid a top floor room, as there isn't a lift.

Immaculate conditions, the hotel and room was exceptionally clean. The facilities were incredible, very advanced technology I was able to operate the doors through my phone. The check in and check out was also done by phone. Lots of amenities for food and drinks in the lobby even when we checked in late. Would happily stay there again.

Managed to get supper despite late arrival after autobahn chaos. Super comfy clean room and lovely generous breakfast. 10/10. Loved it. Thank You!
