"You can’t expect a ton from one of the cheapest hotels in town. It was a decent place to sleep for a couple nights. The staff was extremely kind and helpful, I felt like I was the neediest guest there and both gentlemen who worked at the front desk were very accommodating."
"Overall the place was cute and comfortable. It is a tight room, but a nice place to come back to after being out all day. I enjoyed my experience except for these three issues
1. The internet was slow and kept disconnecting which made watching anything frustrating.
2. I almost slipped and fell in the shower. It turns out there was a mat UNDER the sink. A note or having the mat draped over the tub instead of hidden under the sink would have been very helpful.
3. There was only one towel rack for the bath towels, face towel, and hand towel. It would have been nice to have a towel hook on the back of the door instead of trying to get creative on where the towels should be hung.
It's a cute area, very close to downtown, and having grab and go snacks/drinks was really nice."
"You get what you pay for. The surrounding area felt a bit sketchy, which didn’t make for a great first impression. The room itself had issues—the door lock was partially broken, and the conditioner and lotion dispensers were empty. The bed was uncomfortable, and I woke up with back pain after just one night. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Overall, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again."
"There were ACTUAL RAT DROPPINGS in our room. The staff were understanding and refunded us our money. They told us that the room we were in was one of their suites so it was the nicest one on the property. The floors were filthy, the bathtub was unclean, there was dust and grime all around the mini fridge, and again, ACTUAL RAT POOP, on the floor."
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Montrose - Black Canyon Area by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"We had a nice stay at this Holiday Inn Express. The room was quiet, and the breakfast was good, although the breakfast bar couldn't keep the bacon supplied with the full house they had!"
