"This is a small cabin. The toilet and shower are in the main building. There are 2 bunk beds. Refridgerator, coffee maker, water cooker and a microwave oven. It is not a 5 star hotel. It's a small cabin. But it's cozy and not expensive. And the staff is welcoming. The view is really good - trees and a lake."

"Booket premium rom med sjøutsikt, med bilde av et hjørnerom. Fikk et ganske ordinært rom med utsikt til torget. På forspørsel til resepsjonen om dette var riktig rom, ble det bekreftet at det var premiumrom og et av deres beste rom. Varmt på rommet, ingen kjøling, måtte derfor ha vinduet åpent med mye støy fra fugleliv, trafikk og byggearbeider. Ingen kjøleskap/minibar på rommet. God frokost og hyggelig personale. "

"We are a family of four with a grown up son in a wheelchair. We booked the family room which not only is really spacious but also perfectly accessible. The bathroom is large, as is the shower and there's a chair to seat the less mobile guests. The hotel scores overall very well: the sports facilities are abundantly present with an impressive gym and what we liked a lot was the bowling area. The breakfast is limited but excellent. "Överlag var det en bra övernattning. Det uppfyllde förväntningarna. Vi åt i restaurangen, den höll ”knappt godkänd”kvalité. Maten innehöll inget ”extra” utan kändes som ”skaplig hemmakvalité”, inte något ”extra” i form av smak, tillagning eller så. Kändes som en tripp tillbaka till hur maten tillagades på 70/80-talet. Efterrätten tog priset. Paj med säsongens frukt. Det visade sig vara ett torrt pajskal (inte en tillstymmelse till färg - troligen prefabricerat som man inte gjort något med). Över detta pajskal hade man sedan slängt på en massa rabarberkräm (såg inte pajskalet förrän man började äta - det var dränkt i kräm) - ovanpå allt låg en kula glass. Vi kunde inte annat än att skratta åt det. Så, vill ni uppleva matlagning från 70/80-talet så ska ni äta där. Annars finns det klart bättre alternativ. Men, hotelldelen o frukost var vi mycket nöjda med. "

"The main building of the Gyllene Uttern looks like a Scandinavian castle. Perched high above Lake Vättern, it has a grand view of the lake, whether from a large terrace, one of its several lounging spaces, a glassed-in dining room, or from rooms facing the lake. It also has a baronial dining room, in which the very good breakfast buffet is laid out. We dined there in the evening, as well, and the food was excellent. We enjoyed comfortable suites overlooking the lake. The one disadvantage is that the old, castle-like hotel does not have an elevator, which made carrying up luggage a challenge, especially as we three couples were of ages 60 to 82. There was no indication of staff to assist with the luggage, which is the reason I gave "Staff & Service" 4 stars instead of 5. It has two newer two-story auxiliary buildings, which do have elevators. We have stayed in these before. The rooms are very comfortable, but not as charming as staying in a pseudo castle. "

Huskvarna Hotell & Vandrarhem

"Booked to go to an expo near by, the hotel was one of the few affordable options. Booking two triple rooms for 4 of us and then requested sheets and cleaning, which were extra costs paid locally. The entry information needs to be requested in advance, but there was a member of staff at reception when we arrived. Friendly place, rooms basic- we had a TV in ours, toilet and then shared shower. Bed weren’t thr most comfortable and sheets were very starchy, but cant complain for the price. Breakfast was also available. Limited parking in the street, payable 9-6, either at the machine with a card, or via an app. No issues during the stay, limited facilities in Huskvarna, with one hotel or restaurants as the only options for an evening drink. would happily stay again if the price was good. "

"This hotel is a bit out of the way from the centre of Jonkoping. Take note of this the hotel was clean and a pleasant stay. The deal with an evening meal is handy but the choice is limited. Also you have to register your car for the car park on each day you are there not for the stay. If you return after 11 pm the reception is all closed off and you can’t access the device to re register your car reg. we will see if they try and send me a bill or something."
