Very friendly and helpful staff, creating a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. The room was spacious and the air-conditioning great. Wi-fi fairly good. Reasonable choice for breakfast with different cooked items each day. Note that the location is over 1 km from the beach. I believe there is a free local shuttle service and bike hire, but I did not use. Excellent value!

Thank you for your comments. We are sorry for the flies but it might be that because there are lots of fried stuff on that day - Fried Bacon- Chicken Sausage and all. Secondly it is summer and 37 degrees Celcius over here!! We have noticed that clients also do not keep their spatulas well after use and this attracted many flies. However we have now resolved this issue . Candles are lit- Rosemary leaves are spread and AC is fully on, preventing flies from coming. Thank you.

The staff here were genuinely friendly and thoughtful. Peaceful and quiet area, 15 min walk from the beach. The decor in the rooms was slightly outdated but it didn't affect our stay as all was just what we needed. The breakfast was delicious and varied each day. But best of all... They made such a lovely effort for us as it was our honeymoon. On the first night we arrived so late but they welcomed us in and our bed was covered in fresh tropical flowers and a basket of sparkling drink and chocolate! Thank you L'Oiseau de L'Ocean for making our honeymoon so enjoyable on your relaxing, comfortable, safe and happy hotel!

Really great location and staff are very accommodating and knowledgeable. Some rooms are a little smaller than others however are very clean and well looked after. Hotel breakfast is good and there is space to park a car if needed. The 2 pools onsite are great and we had a wonderful stay.

We felt like in paradise. It was a wonderful stay. The hotel is located close to Flic en Flac. It's a great place to stay for a longer time (we stayed 12 nights), if you rent a car, you can easily make trips across the island. The hotel offers really romantic atmosphere. I'ts quiet, the hotel manager and the whole family makes you feel like at home. They are always there, very helpful, but not annoying. The breakfast was really great with everything you wish - coffee was really good, everyday different fresh tropical fruit variations, many kinds of yogurt, cornflakes with nuts and dried fruit, eggs, pancakes, cheese, ham, jam etc. If you want to eat healthy or not, there is a huge choice for everyone. The breakfast at LOLO is the best start of your day in it's quiet and not overcrowded restaurant. The rooms are big and clean, very well equipped, there is a nice terrace in front of each room. WIFI was quick and well working in the room/ public areas. The hotel features 2 swimming pools (sweet and salty), both clean with a romantic quite atmosphere, nobody disturbs you, we felt like at home there. In case you still freeze in 30 degrees, you can try the cute infra sauna in the garden, I tried it and it was nice to relax there alone with the pool /palm trees view. The location is great, you have Cascavelle shopping mall very close, also other supermarkets like Spar are not far away. We would definitely recommend this hotel and we will definitely come back.

Lovely Family Run Hotel
Well run family hotel with excellent customer service (always a smile on the face of all the staff we encountered). L'Oiseau offers a basic but more than adequate array of amenities. Breakfast options were OK and a bonus for the rates to be honest. Parking was good either on site or across the road. Although a 20min walk to the beach, we just drove as it was easier & more comfortable in the 32c! For us, as we were visiting a lot of family on the island, the location was ideal. Avoiding the rush hours, when travel time can double, we could get anywhere on the island within an hour. Our room (with seaview) was a tad small but it was sufficient for the two of us ie comfortable bed, aircon, shower, fridge & balcony. The maid service was daily and very efficient. The pools are pleasant and well maintained. Improvements? The WiFi was patchy (but worked OK when it was up and running) and the room and shower room could do with some hooks/rails to hang clothes & towels. Would we stay again? Definitely.

Nice family-run b&b
Fantastic family-run place for the traveller looking for a nice stay in a friendly b&b, away from the more same-same resorts. Simple but all you need and owners will make sure you are happy, drive you to beach or shops and have bikes you can borrow. We liked it so we came back after visiting a few other places/cities.

Amazing hotel with great food and service. Free shuttle with David was ideal to get around flic en flac. Very clean hotel with very friendly staff who go out of their way to ensure you have the best experience possible. Would definately recommend and go back again.

A great budget friendly option
This is a great little hotel with two outdoor pools, friendly and helpful staff, and clean rooms and facilities. It is about a 20 minute walk to Flic en Flac beach, but the hotel has a free shuttle service which was very handy. The room we had was a little cramped for us two adults and 1 child (and our bags) and the shower took a little while to warm up, but these were minor issues to us. Overall, we were happy with our stay and would definitely stay again. A great budget-friendly option

Considering the price I paid I expected lower standards and was happily surprised. The room was equipped with a small fridge, a kettle, flat screen TV & air conditioning & was cleaned everyday. Breakfast was basic but they would serve additional items at your request such as cooked eggs or bacon or mushroom. So even for that can’t complain. And although I didn’t use the swimming pool & sauna & bike they were available so definitely recommend. Only thing at times Internet inside the room was a bit temperamental & slow & I had to go in the public terrace to have better internet. Besides Flic en flac has a really good beach & a local shopping center and at your request they provide a shuttle to take you there and they even bring you back until 19:30. So what else can you ask for.

A small family run friendly hotel
We were three adults sharing a family room in this small hotel situated in a quiet residential area . The room was basic but kept to a high standard and had everything we needed. Beds comfortable, room cleaned and towels changed every day.. The staff are friendly and very helpful.

A lovely, friendly and affordable hotel not too far from the beach. Recommend hiring a car to explore Mauritius and parking is free. Recommend requesting a sea view room with a balcony

Overall it was a good to stay at this hotel. However, it would be nice to have some leaflets around in the reception to give us some ideas what we could do around in Flic en Flac or surrounding areas. Also, it would be nice to have a desk , a bit more comfortable to use laptop. Overall it has been a pleasant and enjoyable stay and staff were very helpful.

Fab stay
Really good place to stay, staff friendly and attentive, decent breakfast and rooms clean. The only thing I would say is that all the doors and windows are open throughout hotel as no air con (although there is in your room) so in the evening mosquitos seem to be about. But other than that would definitely stay again, we hired a car so it was perfect otherwise the beach is a 20-30minute walk and there's a shuttle bus.
