Just stayed one night on the way north. Food was excellent, service very friendly. Room a little dated but very nice and comfortable. The staff were amazing throughout.

Hotel looks very modern but has a friendly feel to it. Bedroom was clean and comfortable. The hotel was very busy and the staff worked hard at maintain the food and clearing tables. Coffee or tea always available is a nice touch. View over the river and walk around lovely

The staff made me feel very welcome, and were exceptionally helpful towards me. They happily changed my booking for me. Had beer available to buy and provided a free evening meal. On top of that the receptionist was happy to have a conversation with me.... What a nice place.

If traveling with a group, I highly recommend to try the “cook your own dinner” activity. Really good food and great guidance.
