"The scenery in this valley was gorgeous. My hiking, biking, & walking experience perfect. The natives were friendly people. The hotel restaurant was awesome. From the soup & salads to the roasted bbq lamb to the chicken & “rosnisat” AWESOME. The staff was nice. The proprietors were on site and very caring to their guests. “I’LL BE BACK”"
"Arrived at hotel and was double charged for booking (by Expedia and front office staff) at checkin. Staff/Manager apologetic and refund the difference in cash.Was initially given a car park view room with balcony over a smoking area and cigarette smell coming up from below. Was promptly given a new room overlooking the river. Excellent hotel and facilities, staff friendly and everything clean. No USB outlet in room."

"Great location about 5 minutes walk from the bazaar and restaurants. I had a balcony with a view of the castle. The room was spacious and spotless. The breakfasts in the conservatory were well presented and delicious. Highly recommended."
"A wonderful family owned boutique hotel with kind and friendly staff. Though we had to drive up a very steep hill to reach the hotel and tight parking situation, they helped us park safely. Amazing breakfast with a view on their rooftop terrace!"
"It was a privilege to stay in the old town next to the castle in Gjirokaster. High above the modern city, next to castle and the old bazaar, it was not only convenient but an experience of a life from another time.
Ever wonder what it’s like living way up on the hill in the castle? Last night residing in the old town, adjoining the castle, was that experience. Too high for any city lights to penetrate, it was dark skies. Only the stars and a sliver of the moon. No sound. Not traffic, horns or music. Treeless and without birds. Silence. Peace. This morning the roosters were even a far off event. Dogs a muffled little hum. Bliss. Highly recommended. "
"Excellent location, only a few steps away from the heart of Girokaster but far enough not to hear all the noise/hustle and bustle. Room had an amazing view of the city. Breakfast was good, decent selection. Staff friendly and helpful, arranged taxi for us and driver picked us up from the hotel. Only place in all of our hotels in Albania that provided a kettle. Complementary water provided. Shower was good and toiletries provided. Lift in hotel too.
AC wasn’t as cool as I would like, also had a weird setting where the lower you made the temperature go, the hotter the room would get. So you need to increase the number on the remote to cool the room (which seems very counterintuitive). "

"Lovely, comfortable, well priced hotel in the heart of Gjirokastër.
We really enjoyed our brief stay and were made very welcome and appreciated by th staff. Antoni, in particular was helpful, understanding and generous and this made our time even more rewarding.
Thoroughly recommend this hotel and the delightful people working there. "
