The George Hotel, Amesbury, Wiltshire

Salisbury

10/10 Excellent

The owner were extremely welcoming. Was told that there may be late night noise due to the new night club opposite. Which didn't close until about 3am. Also informed that there was a function in the hotel which would finish at midnight. Also changed our room so any noise from the night club would not disturb us. Arranged for us to have a meal even though the bar food was ready to close. also received 20% off the cost of the bar food menu The food was great value and cooked to perfection and...

The Pembroke Arms

Salisbury

10/10 Excellent

A lovely stay at the Pembroke Arms. There was plenty of free parking to the rear of the Inn. Reception was efficient and friendly. Our room - two double beds so for four people - was large and comfortable with lovely touches like TeaPig teas and ground coffee. The room itself was quite cold but reception turned the heating up for us and it was a really cold day so no complaints. We ate in the hotel that evening - a really nice restaurant and delicious (massive) pies. Breakfast was one of the...

A traditional room with exposed wooden beams, a fireplace, and classic furniture.

The Old House Guesthouse

Salisbury

10/10 Excellent

Location was on a busy main road so exiting by car was difficult at times. Car parking although off road was tight. A bit too far to walk into Salisbury for an evening meal and nothing close by was good enough. Breakfast was hot and excellent, many choices. Staff very friendly. A very distinguished property with quiet rooms, no squeaky floorboards as we have seen and heard elsewhere. A lovely place and would stay again.

The Crown & Garter

Hungerford

10/10 Excellent

Excellent ! We will be back… we were stuck in traffic so ringing ahead, we were able to order food and they kept it warm. My partner, tired from a week in hell at work knocked her wine over..another appeared as if by magic. I had to make an important call … they, without being asked turned music down.wow. The staff are amazing, as are the rooms, bed, bathroom and food..we will be back ! Many thanks guys.

The Stones Hotel

Salisbury

10/10 Excellent

I stayed here just one night, but I had a fabulously comfortable sleep! The room was a good size, very clean and recently decorated (my visit was March 2017). As a wheelchair user, I can also say the accessibility is pretty good. There was a slight problem getting through the entrance door as the threshold is a bit high, but staff were quick to assist in getting me through a more appropriate door. They were also instrumental in getting by baggage into the room! I had requested a wheelchair...

The Room in the Garden

Salisbury

10/10 Excellent

The Room in the Garden is a lovely space, it was clean, the large bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was spacious and great, especially in the hot weather. In the room was a coffee machine with coffee pods, tea and milk and a TV. Outside was a lovely shaded patio where we enjoyed a welcome cup of tea when we arrived, and a freshly prepared, very tasty light breakfast the following morning. The owners and their dog were very friendly and helpful, providing a fan to cope with the heat...
