This house is just the cutest thing ever. Only my second B&B I've stayed in but I really enjoyed it. I did feel like we had to be so quiet or else I would wake the spirits in it. Was fun to explore the rooms that weren't booked, especially the Grand Room upstairs. Wow!! The water was hot and plentiful, the ambiance was peaceful, the breakfast was Delicious and not too much which I appreciate. Wish I lived closer because I would stay here just for the fun of it!!

You must stay at least 2 nights. Watch Jim Carrey's The Majestic 2002 movie in your room on your computer. Ask which road straight off main street gets you to fabulous deserted stretch of ocean in 15 minutes. This place is fabulous. only a couple ghosts.

Like overall hospitality, breakfast. Only thing is the air conditioning in the room not good and shower nobs weren’t working great. Otherwise good place to stay. Thanks!

Victorian Stay in Ferndale
Had a lovely stay!! Beautiful victorian house. Bed is extremely comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. I just wish it came with eggs :) The town of Ferndale is cute, but very sleepy….Everything shuts down at 8pm. It would be nice if restaurants stayed open beyond 8pm during the summer season.

To stay in an old, finely appointed Victorian home like this place was a fun experience. I do have to say that Ferndale does not have a lot to offer restaurant wise but we made do with what was open on a Wednesday night. Our room itself, the Lilac Room, was roomy and comfortable although the bed, a queen, was at an unusual height to be able to just simply lay down. In addition to having to decide to roll into or use the provided stairs to get into it, it squeeked anytime either one of us moved in it. This was accompanied by the flooring providing its own squeek tone to the arrangement. On a more positive note, the happy hour of wine and cheese was a nice touch and the place overall was very clean. Thus our middle of the road review especially for the amount we paid.

Beautiful!
This was a lovely stay. The staff was friendly & helpful. The inn was very nice. The scones at breakfast were wonderful. Would highly recommend staying here. The bedroom was darling the beds were very high but nice step stool was there so no problem getting in/out. The beds were really soft!

We certainly enjoyed the location and the staff. We checked in and then were welcomed to their tea and wine time with appropriate goodies for each. Breakfast was yummy and filling with scrambled eggs, sausage patties, english muffins and an orange breakfast cake. We were the only guests for our 1 night. We stayed in the Lilac room which was lovely. We did find the bamboo sheets to be quite slick and were easily untucked during the night. The beds were raised up, with steps provided to get into and out of bed. This mattress, unfortunately, had that proverbial dent in the middle so that we kept rolling to the middle. We would certainly stay again however not in the Lilac room : ) You should go and enjoy this lovely town.

Your B&B and your town are a perfect gem. I've recommended you far and near. Loved renting The Majestic on You Tube TV and watching it in room then walking around asking locals where the sets had been built. Never stay here just 1 night. Absolute must be 2 nights or more.

Gingerbread Mansion in December
The personal friendliness and attention of the staff was delightful. The bed was like a cloud, a cozy, warm cloud. Breakfasts were yummy. All the rooms, free wine and tea to enjoy in the evening, and getting to chat with the guests was great.

Great place, funky sheets
All good, except the sheets on the bed in the "Lilac" room popped off the corners; had to pull the bed together 3 times in the night... not so good. Also, that mattress has a pretty severe canoe dent in the center, just FYI.

Great trip back in time! Ferndale has quite a few Victorian houses, and the Gingerbread Mansion was one of the best! Great host, great room/suite! Just a few blocks from Main Street. Great area for walking and sightseeing. Shops were very hospitable.

A perfect little place of paradise!
It's everything and more than pictured or advertised! Every room in the house was just simply gorgeous! The service was fantastic. The tea and wine and desserts, cheese and crackers were such a refreshing treat after a long days travel. The rooms were beautiful and private we even had our own little deck a patio. The town was quite and beautiful as we walked around. We had an absolutely mouth watering fantastic meal just down the street. The town people were welcoming and friendly. I would live here if we could, but at the very least we will be back when ever possible!

Angel at the Inn was very helpful. The room was lovely and the tea time snacks in the lobby were absolutely delicious. This is a quaint hotel that was very fun to visit!

A Gem
I surprised my wife by staying here on the second day of our honeymoon. Not only is Ferndale a total Gem of a town but the Gingerbread mansion was the prize gem of any place i have ever stayed. Oh, and the breakfast was a big hit with my new bride.

We absolutely loved the Gingerbread House. When we pulled up they were painting the front steps. They apologized for our inconvenience and offered us an upgrade to our room. The bed and blankets were amazing. Best sleep ever!!! The decor in the house will keep u busy checking out every room. We were treated to a glass of wine and tasty snacks when we checked in and a delicious breakfast when we woke. Best night of our 2 week holiday.
