"This place is a bit further out from Pisa, but we still had a really nice stay and made the most of it. It’s great value for money, which was a big plus. The hotel itself is a little old-fashioned, but honestly, the staff more than made up for it—they were super friendly and welcoming the whole time. The restaurant was also a highlight, with really tasty food that we enjoyed a lot. It’s a good spot if you’ve got a car and want to explore the nearby villages and surrounding area."

"We cannot say enough about our whole experience at this hotel. From the moment we drove through the tree-lined driveway to the moment we pulled away; we were attended to by the most exceptional customer service. Communication was excellent prior to and during our stay. Additionally, and since we had a very late arrival, special care was taken and every effort was made to to make our visit most memorable. We were welcomed to beautiful rooms with a bottle of wine waiting and all the amenities. The staff were very knowledgeable, friendly and always wanting to help in any way. The location was also superb and close to the popular San Gimignano old town. We highly recommend this place and would definitely visit again. Thank you!"

"We were very happy with our experience in Tuscany... however, found it very difficult to get a taxi. One super kind lady at front desk with light hair helped us,... she called around until she could get us one.. then reserved it for us 2 days out. That was really the only issue... The poolside was so lovely and the breakfast each day AMAZING!!!!!!! Cant say enough. would love to stay there again!.. Helen Heyes"

"Historical building on a hill surrounded by nature with great Tuscany views.peaceful & serene. Enjoyed Amazing views of Sunset & Sunrise .Both pools are excellent Additional kids pool was great for the children . Wish there was a kids playground indoor pool/ outdoors & adult activity- tennis/badminton, pickle ball court Billiards/ pool table . Restaurant on site is excellent for breakfast & dinner with Tuscan & Indian menu options . But for change & variety we did dine in nearby village restaurants Agritourismo Colleoli(1km walking distance) & restaurante Pettiroso & Bacciomeo. All 3 have excellent ambience, great tasting food. .2 bedroom apartment give to us was of good size, clean with well equipped kitchen . However it’s only suitable for families with older children & adults but not for families with smaller children especially toddler & infants because of the design of sitting area in the loft, stairs.with no safety gate or door.we couldn’t change to other apartment with different design as the resort was full. Concierge staff are exceptionally helpful & friendly. Very processional & efficient . All requests were attended to very promptly. Arranged all restaurant reservations, rides to restaurants & Pontedera railway station so we could explore other areas in Tuscany. Transportation costs are high. So car is a must which gives you flexibility & freedom to explore the region. Rent at Pisa or Florence before arrival here if you flying. Overall we had very pleasant stay."

"The hotel does have covered parking. It's located next to the hotel, and is limited in that they only have 17 spaces; plus it's an additional 15 euros per day and a city tax to utilize the parking. Parking is in the Volterra's limited traffic zone (ZTL). Contact the hotel if you desire parking, be sure to give them your car plate number so you don't get fined driving into the restricted zone. The rooms were clean but modest. The floors in the hallways and rooms are tile and you do get noise from people moving around above you and in the hallways. The bathroom are small (one person at a time size). The staff is very helpful and informative. They provided information on restaurant which will provide a discount to hotel customers. The pool was nice and the hotel staff provided drinks and food pool side. Even though the hotel location was towards the end of the town, restaurant and shopping were short walks, 5-10 minutes."

"The property is very nice . My room was ok , nice view , spacious bathroom except the shower . The lights switchers are confusing but understandable because is an old European style . Breakfast is very good . A lot choices and was included in the price . Staff is great always try to help you . Location is good , just 600 mts from San Gimignano main entrance . You don’t need a car to go close to inside the walls . Parking is difficult in the area but you will find a spot away from the hotel .! I will recommend this property is you like to be close to the area !"
