The bed was comfortable, but the building is in serious disrepair: curtains hanging off the rails, broken ceiling panels, peeling paint, loose bathroom tiles, and heavily worn carpets in the hallways. "Bikube Lyon is great! Very very clean and modern, eco-friendly (normal sized refillable liquid soap and shampoo bottles instead of the tiny individual ones, towel service every other day), a block away from the Metro station, a short drive from the Gare Lyon Part-Dieu, and you can walk to Lyon city centre if you want (2.5 km away). The room was spacious and had everything I needed. Laundry and fitness facilities were easy to use. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. I would definitely stay here again."

"Beautiful monastery restored! Lovely breakfast included, great bar and restaurant, and lovely to eat and sip in the courtyard. I wasn’t aware when I booked it that it was at the top of the hill… hard to determine on a two-dimensional map! But what a treat to discover it! Easy 5 min walk to the Roman amphitheater, and another 5 min to the Basilica and the funicular to take you down to the old, lively city center. It was very hot while we were there and the A/C (like many European hotels) was not very powerful. But overall a wonderful experience. "
