Good: - beautiful area/views - clean room - comfortable bed - quiet, not crowded - pools are spacious Bad: - too darn hot! Is it 110-120F? Every guest around us kept complaining about the same thing, the pools being too hot. The round pool is a degree or two cooler and is about as hot as your hottest hot tub you've ever been to. The main public pool's hot pool is simply unbearable and there was barely anyone in it. Most people just had feet in it. If you like boiling water you'll like it. For us it was extremely uncomfortable. The round pool was... tolerable. Hardly enjoyable like you'd want hot springs to be, just tolerable. The cooler public pool was actually the best but after an hour or so even in the sunny warm afternoon it felt chilly. Bottom of the line, none of the pools were comfortable but the round one was almost ok and we were able to get used to it. Lucky for us our 2nd day was windy and cold and it made it tolerable. I'd say they're 5-10 degrees hotter than they should be - personally I'd like some shade around pools, there's nowhere to hide from the sun - that's really it for bad stuff. We didn't mind the overall nursing home like look of the property. It was quiet and nice. Just wish the water wouldn't be so stinking hot, otherwise wouldn't mind coming back again someday.

We came for my daughters 31st birthday to relax and celebrate. The pools are nice and warm except the hotel guest pool should be a bit warmer, In our opinion and others we heard talking around us, since we had to be so close due to so many people, there were too many kids/small, med and infants, big blow ups for the kids to use and balls thrown around. Not so peaceful of a visit with all that along with the kids screaming. There should be an age limit and number of guests allowed at once in the public day pass pools. Our microwave did not work and the room smelt of dog urine, since they allow dogs who have to stay couped up in the room while owners are at the hot spring pools and dinning. Recommend making sure appliances work, recarpet or shampoo carpets (except that makes it worse), there should be an adults only pool and some times that no kids are allowed in the hotel guest pool. Everyone wears hotel robes so everyones looks the same. Dont assume you are picking up yours. My daughters was picked up with her sunglasses in the pocket, never turned into front desk. The next night I realized I had taken the wrong robe when I found someone elses room key in pocket, due to them moving our stuff to use our hanger, and we didnt know. We would like to come back but would like to be able to actually relax a bit. Food is good, services good.

It is time for some renovation inside the hotel, rooms are clean but carpet looks dirty I don’t feel comfortable walking in barefoot. The description for our room was with a view but the view was the parking lot, rate night is nor the place economic so I was expecting better amenities.

The rooms with kitchens are run down; our fridge didn’t work. But it’s a totally average hotel in a beautiful area. We come every year for the views, not the hotel itself. The server didn’t know how to split bills at the Grizzly Paw and they no longer have a proper vegetarian/dairy free menu so this year I couldn’t eat at the resort like in previous years.

This "resort" had very dated decor, something right out of 1983. If you have a young family, this is the place to take them. There was no area, or time zone for adults only in the private or public pools. The children swam wild, splashing, and chirping until the pools closed at 22:00. This is unfortunate if you like to relax in the hot springs. Staff did not make it clear where guests could swim either. I will say the kitchenette in our room was fantastic. It had everything we needed to make a nice dinner in our room. I would not return here unless I had little ones with me. Halycion Hot Springs resort is far superior to Fairmont.
