"My stay here was great, and the view over the town of Narvik and the mountains can't be beat in this area. The balcony of my room ended up being a perfect spot to take pictures of the northern lights during my stay. I came during the shoulder season so it wasn't super crowded. While I didn't personally take advantage of it, the kitchen was a great amenity that would be useful for those wanting to cook a small meal.
I'd recommend Narvik Basecamp to anyone visiting the area, it's a very new facility with a perfect location."
"The friendliness of the staff and the amazing breakfast are two of the highlights of this hostel.
The breakfast is outstanding and was included in the price I paid. I remember having crumbled ham, grilled potatoes and prawns fried in garlic butter at breakfast, in addition to the usual cold breakfast options. Highly recommended. The cook deserves high praise for the excellent breakfast.
The staff, many of whom are high school students, are very friendly and chatty.
Do remember to pack a pair of flip-flops as shoes are not allowed into the hostel rooms. And the communal kitchen can be in a different wing of the hostel from where you are staying.
The hostel is conveniently close to the bus-stops for buses going to (about 200 meters uphill) and from (just across the road) Bodo/Fauske."
"It's like a boutique, the care for detail is amazing.
They are very professional, kind and helpful.
Breakfast, bufffet or a la carte, is included and it's very tasty. This hotel would be my first choice in Narvik"
"We stayed here only for one night. The room was slightly cramped for the four of us, two on regular beds and two on a sofa bed that was not too comfortable. Other than that, the room was clean and well equipped. We appreciated the hotel's location within walking distance from the city center. The buffet breakfast was a treat, with a great choice of tasty food. The parking is not free; it has to be paid separately."
"Excellent hotel, lovely room great views. Well located for everything. A little slow to resolve locked open safe (on arrival) asked 3 times. Reception seemed rather busy.Very nice apology on checkout. Brilliant breakfast."
