We really slept in a castle

Charming and cosy castle with a lot of rooms to explore. There was an endless collection of antiques. Overall very clean.

Our two teenage daughters, got to live out there princess dreams! Ask reception how to get into the tower - it’s a hike, but the view is amazing! The castle is generally a little rundown (but nothing that ruins the grandeur of this once stately home) Both our rooms were beautifully decorated and very clean! Based on reviews, we had decided not to have dinner at the castle, but there are some cute options near. We did have breakfast and it was excellent, with everything you may need to start the day with a full stomach - we took her out to sit in the gardens. There was a lovely free feeling to being able to roam the property and gardens. If you’re traveling through Fyn, I would add this as a stop (it was our daughter‘s favorite part of the trip)

The room was very nice and comfortable. The property was beautiful with the multiple sitting areas inside and outside the hotel. The dinner was not worth the cost. Tough beef and cabbage for a spring salad.

Furnishing in general rooms were fabulous. Electrical outlets in our room did not work. Person in charge brought new lightbulbs and extension cords. Wiring definite Y needs updating. Our shower had black mold. The biggest issue was guests not allowed to use eleva5or and NO help around to help older Expletive lug bags up 2 flights of stairs. Breakfast was adequate. Not recommended for any one over 50.

Resturanten er lukket søndag og mandag.. Mandag var udvalget til morgenbuffen gevaldigt reduceret. Svar fra personalet var at der ikke var nok gæster. (Prisen var den samme). Rengøring fra søndag bestod i tømning ad affaldsspand på værelset.

Værelse meget slidt. Ikke mulighed for at åbne vindue. Toilet meget beskidt. De glemte at hænge nye håndklæder. Sengene blev ikke redt om dagen. Morgenmaden var ikke spændende. For lidt udvalg. Der mangler en elevator.

Spiste der ikke da vi havde sen check in. Værelset var fint og helt som forventet. Selve slottet er meget fascinerende at gå rundt i. Dejligt alle faciliteter må bruges så det kan udforskes. Imponerende at se de gamle sale, borde, møbler og så højt til loftet så man ikke helt forstår det Havde et rigtig godt ophold. Kan kun anbefales

Vi fik ikke det vi havde bestilt. Vi havde bestilt et dobbeltværelse i hovedbygningen, men fik et værelse i et fælleshus med to andre par. Der var ekstremt lydt og da de havde børn, var det bestemt ikke den oplevelse vi havde drømt om.

Ved ankomst blev vi mødt af en uengageret receptionist, som ganske vist informerede om, at morgenmad ikke var inkluderet – hvilket vi var klar over – men der var en unødvendig insisteren på, at vi skulle betale med det samme. Bevares, det er fair nok, men det fyldte uforholdsmæssigt meget i velkomsten. Da vi nævnte, at vi kun ønskede morgenmad den første dag, blev det ikke mødt med forståelse, snarere tværtimod. Og alligevel blev vi opkrævet morgenmad for alle dage ved en “fejl”? Derudover blev vi ikke informeret om hotellets faciliteter, restaurant eller øvrige muligheder på stedet. Det måtte vi selv opsøge information om, hvilket virker unødvendigt og uprofessionelt. Værelset fremstod både slidt og støvet, og fjernsynet fungerede dårligt – det havde kun én kanal, og skærmen blev hvid ca. hvert tiende minut. Vi havde medbragt vores egen Chromecast, men kunne ikke benytte den, da WiFi-signalet ikke rakte til værelset. Da vi nævnte dette i receptionen, fik vi blot svaret: “Der er nogle værelser, hvor signalet ikke rækker.” Det er ikke acceptabelt – især ikke uden et forsøg på at finde en løsning. Øv for en oplevelse.

Hyggeligt slot og god morgenmad, fin seng. Savnede generelt personlig service. Vi kom 15 minutter efter sidste tjek-ind og havde givet besked på forhånd pga trafik. På trods af det vidste vedkommende der tog imod os ingenting, og gav os ingen yderligere information - men var sød og høflig. Aftensmad var en spøjs oplevelse. Som om at personalet virkelig prøver, men bare ikke kommer i mål. Der er ikke mange informationer, menukort er en sort/hvid fotokopi med ordene røget laks, serrano, oksekød,ost, dessert..... når vi spørger efter et drinkskort er det ikke muligt, selvom det står på fotokopien at man kan se det. Maden er ikke særlig dyr, men heller ikke nogen særlig oplevelse. Tjeneren prøvede sit bedste, men havde måske for meget at se til? Der bliver sat brød, smør og isvand på bordet ved ankomst - dejligt - men der ryger 35 kr på regningen for isvandet efterfølgende, selvom man ikke er blevet spurgt om man ønsker det. Værelser er fin slotsstil, men skrå tagvindue er meget beskidt og ikke til at se igennem, mærkelige pletter på væggene, mystiske sorte plastikstrips der stritter fra gardinstænger, badeværelse er sådan set rent, men meget slidt. Igen meget beskidt vindue m gammel spindelvæv og støv, misfarvninger på væggen. Toiletbræt er for lille ift kummen, gulvet i brusekabinen er gulligt, furerne er flere steder sorte og misfarvede. Intet internet trods udleverede koder. Det virker så kun i stueetagen,fik vi at vide ved udtjekning. Hyggeligt, men dårligt standard

Stedet har potentiale til meget mere!

Omgivelserne er fantastiske og opvejer en smule af indrykket af et slidt hotel/slot, der trænger til en kærlig hånd. Morgenmadsbuffeten var fin især pga de nybagte boller. Personalet virkede ikke som om service indgik i deres værdigrundlag. Utroligt at man på en varm sommeraften i den idylliske slotspark ikke formår at opvarte og friste gæsterne til at købe drinks og øl/vand. Det virkede som om man som gæst var til ulejlighed. De fleste erhvervsskoler tilbyder AMU kurser med fokus på kundeservice og mersalg. Måske en idé! Stedet har potentiale til meget mere!
