"Short stay as early train in the morning to Zermatt. Right by the station and able to leave the car there for 5 days underground. Very convenient. "

"Check-in was quick and easy, and room was bigger than expected, clean, comfortable, with plenty of room to store / lock things; a side-door to an outside terrace with a table and chairs, and a great shower with plenty of pressure and warm water. Bed was cozy, and smart TV was new and viewing choices were abundant in several languages. The restaurant was usually busy, but they always found a table quickly for me (would recommend making reservations though). Service from the restaurant staff was excellent - friendly, attentive, quick, and helpful. Elvira was so helpful and friendly - as was most of the staff. I had dinner there all three nights, and was never disappointed. The soups, appetizers - and, in particular, the pizzas, were delicious - which was perfect after a day of exhausting skiing. Lastly, the location of the Matterhorn Inn couldn't be better. They are located less than 1 minute (right across the street) from the Täsch rail station. Will definitely return!"

"If you want to experience the Swiss Alps in a true fashion, stay there. The pension is family run,you eat what they cook. There are no other restaurants around. There’s no tv but a room full of board games, fabulous views. Nights are quiet with only the stars and the sounds of the mountains around you for company. Sabine, the owner aims to please and is always busy finding solutions for unexpected events. No cars allowed and the only way to get there is with the funicular from Lauterbrunnen. For nature lovers and hikers a perfect place. It’s the “ getting away from it all” place. We loved it. "
