Cemetery, Exley Lane, Elland. Quite a variety of monuments, some looking Victorian, as does the house that was presumably provided for a caretaker (or whatever people who look after cemeteries are called!).

Exley Lane, Halifax. This is taken looking N from the sharp bend at SE101221. This is the medieval main road from Elland to Halifax. Round the corner the road bends bends left and slants up to the houses. There is a big new building on the hillside.

Comfortable and clean room, staff very friendly. Car park very convenient and hotel close to shops bars and restaurants. A good breakfast was let down by hot options - overcooked bacon, dry mushrooms, weird tasting beans and scrambled the only option of eggs.
