"Had a lovely stay at Windsor cottage. Well presented, great amenities and the most comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Slept like a log! Ate out in local restaurants, which were lovely especially Alberto’s Italy. There are a couple of free parking areas in town 5-10 minutes away. During our stay there was a film set in place for Father Brown and a restriction at the end of the road. It didn’t take away from our stay, but was glad of the premier inn parking just a 100m away. "Room was clean and even though they gave us the wrong room to start with they changed it to the right room"

"Parking extortionate £10 overnight when not in a locked area. Hairdryer wiring exposed. Ironing board cover burn specks. Only 1 teaspoon. Windows cannot open for fresh air. Air con unit shows filter require cleaning so was not working well. TV not all basic free view channels available. Worse of all, in a massive hotel only 2 points for lifts when you have luggage to carry, and only one set of the lifts goes to ground floor reception. Have to walk 15 mins to get to lifts ! Ridiculous when u have luggage to carry. Will not use again. Only positive it has a room safe. "

"I stayed for one night. The clean was poor specially the sink. No shower gel was provided, so it was good that I brought mine. The room was for 2 adults and one child, and I only had 2 towels. The worst part of all was the smelly of smoke and weed. It was so strong that it was like someone had smoked in the room. I had to open the window to be able to sleep."

"The staff were so friendly, so helpful--ordering us a taxi, explaining about the Oxford Bus to Heathrow, etc. The concept of turning a prison into a hotel--wow! Our room was fabulous. The whole setting and what has been done with this enormous golden stone building is so imaginative and fun. Great location for walking/shopping in Oxford. Close to everything."
