"I had a wonderful one-week stay at Dar Amastan during the Gnaoua Festival and would happily stay here again. This riad had only been open about a month when I visited, but the hospitality was exceptional.
The location is excellent—an easy walk to the medina, beach, restaurants, and festival venues while still being peaceful. The rooftop breakfasts were a highlight, with fresh orange juice, traditional Moroccan breads and pancakes, eggs, honey, amlou, olives, and other local specialties.

"Beautiful spot right in the boarder of the Medina. So about 5-15 min walk anywhere. Beds were super comfortable and rooms were spacious. Loved the robes and bathtub in my room.
Only thing it doesn’t have is pool or gym :) but I wasn’t expecting that.
Breakfast was yummy. Pastries. Eggs of choice. Yogurt. Fruit bowl etc."
"Colorful hotel, very well located in the Medina in Essaouira. Nicely-decorated, clean rooms. Good breakfast in the terrace with great views of the ocean, also great area to watch the sunset. The only cons were, the tub in the bathroom, although nice decorative touch, it wasn't all that comfortable to shower and all the people, outsiders to the hotel, taking instagram pictures because the hotel is really beautiful.
The greatest thing of this hotel were the people who run it, specially Rashida who was such a great host. All the staff were kind, helpful and very warm."

"We'll start with the best: the staff!
It's a relatively new hotel so there are a few minor teething problems which we repoted and they were pleasantly addressed. We whole heatedly recommend."
