"Anything and everything I asked for at the bar it was available. They’re very welcoming and polite. Another thing I loved was being able to take my drinks back to the room! Staff were great! They make sure you’re comfortable and okay! "
"If you’re looking for a five star luxury resort…this ain’t your place. But if you’re looking for a mostly clean albeit tired resort, give this place a look. We were recently here for five days and had a very enjoyable time, although upon arrival we were pretty disappointed with our choice and considered leaving to another resort. We decided to stay, and by the time we left we decided we would return.
The good: the beach is fantastic, and the pools, while old, are fine. There isn’t much in the line of nightlife; I was fine with that, while it may disappoint others. The buffet for all meals is basic and mostly unexciting. There are always good choices for salads, cheeses, etc. Breakfast had an omelet station and your typical selection of breakfast items. Lunch and dinner were always basic. There was never a time we left a meal hungry, but we also never left impressed.
The bad: the place is tired. It’s owned by the government, and upgrades and maintenance aren’t a high priority. The employees spend most of their time fielding complaints, so they’re loaded for bear when you approach them; if you treat them with a little respect and some humor they warm right up. The rooms are basic…mine was fine, but I heard complaints that things were broken in other rooms.
If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable place to escape the weather…give this place a shot. It’s worth every penny. If you’re a traveler who expects 5star accommodations and pampering, this is NOT for you. "

"The rooms were smaller than expected. The bathrooms on the property near the pool and beach were consistently clogged and unusable. There were times we had to return to our own room to use the restroom. There were mosquitoes in our room and we realize that the door to our room doesn't seal completely. The beach views are picturesque and beautiful. "
"One of the best all-inclusive resorts in the entire Caribbean! The food was incredible and changed daily, so every meal was different. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Coffee delivered to our room every morning when requested. Excellent excursions and tours that cover a variety of areas. Beautiful views from any of the pools, direct access to the beach while still offering drink service. Multiple food options available throughout the day including paninis, pastries, smoothies and bar bites. Cannot say enough positive things about Cocobay Resort and its staff. "

"Food was not good. Restaurants you had to stand in line to make a reservation between 10-3. There were three restaurants.. not including the ice cream/ coffee shop that was twice out of ice cream, a sports bar that took an hour to receive your food wit no one in the place, and a buffet that was average at best. Out of the three other restaurants, the Italian place was good others not so much! Drinks were ok. Entertainment was ok. Staff was ok.not much of a beach… handles coming off on all bathroom hooks in both rooms we stayed at. Two small elevators that were mostly full .// u decide:) Atm was out of service .. two small stores were out of stomach medicine ./"
"We were a little sceptical about Galleon Beach Resort due to limited reviews but we did not regret booking.
Upon arrival Talia showed us down to Sea Breeze - cottage number 10. She left a welcome sheet providing her mobile number incase we needed it, numbers of taxis etc.
The cottage was beautiful with a living area with two small couches, a kitchenette with microwave, toaster, coffee maker, fridge water cooler and 2 plate hob.
We had two large bedrooms, the Master with ensuite, plus a second bathroom with shower.
The highlight of the cottage was having the sea right on our doorstep, we loved sitting out on the patio watching the boats, listening to the birds and the waves. The snorkelling from here was also the best we've experienced. Over the three nights we stayed, we saw Sea Turtles, an Eagle Ray, Puffer fish, baby squid, and hundreds of fish.
As we didn't have a car we called a taxi to take us around to English harbour (there is also a water taxi) which cost $15 each way and visited Nelsons Dockyard, had lunch and got some supplies from the Coventry garden supermarket. It was easy to get a return taxi back from the taxi rank at the Dockyards. We prebooked for the same driver to pick us up later that day and take us to Shirley heights for the Thursday night party (also $15).
We booked the Loose Cannon beach bar for dinner for two nights, small menu but the Explosive prawns were exquisite. Highly recommend staying in these beachfront cottages!"
