Great location, views and activities. Only item for Expedia to make clearer is that you must take cable car to hotel and it closes at 6 pm. So if arriving late, that can present problems. Staff was helpful and helped us work it out.

Tolles Berghotel

Super Lage im Hochgebirge. Ausgangspunkt für Ausflug auf den Titlis oder schöne Bergwanderungen z.B. Jochpass - 4-Seen-Wanderung - Melchsee-Frutt. Halbpension beinhaltete ein sehr feines Nachtessen und ein tolles Frühstücksbuffet.

Great for skiing

Overall very solid option for a couple days of skiing at Titlis/Engelberg. True ski-in ski-out with rentals in same building. Food was fine, rooms were clean and nicely designed... No other hotels or restaurants at Trubsee, gondola to village closes at 5:00pm all nights except Saturday... so if your looking for nightlife you may want to pass.

Ideal für Kurzurlaub

Das Zimmer ist klein aber fein. Es hat alles, was es braucht. Wir haben es genossen, vor dem Essen um den See zu laufen, im Alpstübli ein Kaffee Schnaps zu trinken, in der Sauna zu relaxen und das feine Abendessen zu geniessen. Sehr schönes Frühstücksbüffet. Es war sehr erholsam. Am nächsten Tag sind wir noch auf den Titlis gefahren und haben das bunte Treiben beobachtet. Alles in allem ein sehr gelungener Ausflug. Gerne wieder einmal

Très chouette hôtel mais attention pour l'accès !!

Nous voulions faire une étape en Suisse sur notre route vers l'Italie. Ce fut in fine une super chouette étape mais attention, allez regarder attentivement le site de l'hôtel lui-même car le site Hotel.com n'est pas ultra clair sur une chose : si le check-in ne peut pas se faire après 16h30, c'est "simplement" car l'hôtel est à 1.800 m d'altitude et accessible seulement par télécabine, dont la dernière part ... à 16h30 ! Risqué donc sur la route des vacances : un embouteillage, et vous serez peut-être en retard. Coût si cela vous arrive (pour organiser votre transfert spécial) : 390 francs suisses !! Par ailleurs, le site évoque les 5 euros de parking payant (à Engelberg, au pied des télécabines donc), mais pas les 27 € par personne pour prendre justement ce télécabine obligatoire ! Bref, le budget est lourd (il faut aussi compter en + les boissons pour le repas du soir qui ne sont pas comprise dans le prix forfaitaire). Par ailleurs, l'hôtel est actuellement (août 2015) en gros travaux d'agrandissement, et pour à mon avis de longs mois encore, ce qui gâche le paysage là-haut, il faut bien le dire (plus de terrasse par exemple). Mais sinon, le cadre en lui-même est vraiment magnifique, avec des vues impressionnantes et de belles ballades à faire juste à côté, notamment autour du lac ! Pour le reste : hôtel simple, propre et confortable. Nourriture simple et bonne. Personnel efficace. Rien à dire de ce côté là.

Das Hotel ist sehr schön eingerichtet mit vielen Details. Die Kuhbilder sind der Hit, so auch die Bilder aus früheren Zeiten (Hotel/Gondelbahn). Das Zimmer war gross und nett eingerichtet. Der Service war toll.

Ideal für Vielfahrer

Der Service war wirklich gut und auch Frühstück und Hotel sind auf gutem Niveu. Unser Zimmer dagegen ist etwas klein und altmodisch dafür sehr sauber. Das Essen ist gut bürgerlich und durchaus im Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Die Lage ist natürlich das besondere und somit auch das Alleinstellungsmerkmal des Hotels, mitten auf der Skipiste zu übernachten hat vor allem für Familien und Vielfahren einen absoluten Reiz.
