"Staying in Giethoorn? You must have your own chalet on the water, with optional boat. Just a fantastic way to see this amazing village.
The chalet had all that was needed for a pleasant stay where we could make our own meals. Highly recommend. (The Floating Nomads)"
"Really fun little hotel, with super helpful staff, who took care of our every need. The larger rooms on the first floor are really great, with a bathtub in the room and nice decor. We did have a night in a second floor room also- just a bit small for us- we’ve been traveling for a while so have more stuff than someone on a weekend away- though still lovely decor and nice and quiet. We used this hotel as a base to explore the area of Friesland and were really happy with the choice."
"Very good location, family room was fine for what we needed. Wet room style shower not so good as water goes everywhere. Breakfast is pricey so we opted out."
"I stumbled upon this place on Expedia while playing a high-stakes game of "where am I driving next in the Netherlands," and it turned out to be the ultimate win. Hands down the best hotel of my trip so far! The place was so clean I’m pretty sure you could eat your breakfast off the floor (though I used the table like a civilized human).
The absolute highlight? Watching the Dutch squad take on Japan in the World Cup right there in the hotel, cheering alongside the locals. The room itself was immaculate and the bed was dangerously comfortable. A massive shoutout to the rockstar at the front desk—she was incredibly sweet when I arrived, and somehow just as impossibly chipper and helpful when I checked out the next morning. 10/10, would absolutely stay again!"
"Excellent hotel, very friendly staff, very comfortable bed. Beautiful surroundings. We loved the storks.
It would be good if there were some wheat/gluten free options on the breakfast buffet."
"Easy checkin, friendly helpful staff, yummy soup, enjoyed Baileys, but mostly was looking forward to breakfast and it did not disappoint. Beyond delicious. Love, love, love!!!"
