The property is located off a dirt road behind a bamboo gate with no signage. GPS is absolutely needed to ensure that you are at the right location. I did not receive replies to emails, but I called and my call was taken and questions answered. I had to call the number on the website to let them know I had arrived. The property is charming and quaint. The outdoor landscaping is simple and neat. The room was spacious and clean, complete with air conditioning and TV. Beds were average. Pool was clean. Beach is rocky, bring water shoes. Ocean temperature was a comfortable 77 degrees. Elda, the property manager and restaurant chef was awesome. Her cooking is amazing, among the best I’ve ever tasted. Food is bought locally and she prepares it. Her handmade corn tortillas are the best! Her cooking is a must if you are in the area.
Worst experience ever!!
It's not worth than you pay. No wifi and hot water contrary to what say, lack of personal to resolve problems.
My reservation included breakfast and they said they didn't know but unless i showed my confirmation and it was written I had to argue a lot to get it.. and even after this they tried to charge me everything.
Eggs were included but I had to pay extra to include ham!
I can accept when everything is not perfect in a cheap hotel but this one is not in this category and what's why they need profesional people to attend customers.
Check-in was very confusing, because the receptionist, who did not speak, requested my credit card to pay for our stay, but I knew that payment had already been made through Expedia, so I refused. The money had not arrived yet, however, so he called someone who spoke English -- maybe the manager or owner -- who assured us he would handle this and sort it out with Expedia. Which obviously he did.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Two improvements I would suggest:
1. There really should be a sign on the road to help the visitor find the property. We drove right by it and had to turn around after a km or so.
2. The room is spacious, the beds are good, but the lighting is minimal. The three recessed bulbs on the ceiling are not sufficient and give the room an unfriendly feel. It would be so easy to put in a bedside lamp, and some warmer lighting altogether.
3. A good cutting knife in the kitchenette would also be helpful.
Me encantó
