We stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful and relaxed time.
David the owner is very hands on and nothing seemed to be too much for him.
The cabins are individually well located with stunning views of the cloud forest
Have recommended to our friends

Fantastic little hotel just on the edge of Mindo just minutes walk to the main street. Very clean and Margarit could not have been more helpful. Breakfast area is beautiful overlooking the forest with hummingbirds and other wildlife in front of you!

Looking for a place in Mindo - stay here! I don’t think we’ve ever come across a more helpful hotel owner and staff. We had to move our booking a couple of times because of illness and that was all AOK.
The owner was constantly making sure we had everything we wanted , clean towels for the pool or room, plenty of drink8ng water. Really generous and tasty breakfasts.
The hotel is a 10 minute walk out of town and has amazing gardens and a lovely pool. Everywhere is really clean, all the...

This has to be the best hotel in the world. I'll give you 3 reasons:
1. The people
The whole team at Mashpi is just incredible, the service is world class and i felt like one of the family from the moment i arrived. Marc and the rest of the team lead and inspire an enthusiastic young team of passionate staff members and it's a privilege to see.
2. The Nature
Take the hotel away, and where its built, i could have slept in a tent and i would have been happy. The forest is enchanting. The story...

Great experience at Sachatamia lodge. Welcoming staff despite language barrier. Great setting within the cloud forest with plenty of bird feeders to attract the local species. Great location for birding in and around the Mindo area with local bird guide Alex (who was excellent and speaks very good English) based nearby. Highly recommended.

Rustic place with lots of charm. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was hot. The couple who run the place are incredible, very kind and helpful. The breakfast was lovely and their laundry service is very good and fast! The location could not be bette! The one thing I would suggest is if you are a light sleeper asks for a room that faces the back as our room faced the street and there was a loud party in front until 6 am which didn’t let us sleep despite our ear plugs. I know the owner...
