Certainly not the nicest part of town to stay in. That being said; staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms while not exactly modern are well kept and its budget friendly.
Awsome little barber shop right off the lobby!

Would stay again.
This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel. I chose it because of it's proximity to my destination. It is dated and there was a couple of quirks about our room that they are addressing. For the price, it's a good value. It's clean, comfortable and the staff are friendly.
Great location. Sketchy neighborhood. The staff work hard and the location is clean but it is showing its age and the renovations are not actually fixing the issues as much as just covering them up.
The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was awesome. The room was not very clean, the coffee machine was full of water which seems like not cleaned after the previous guests had used. The floor was very dusty, and the shower head was awful. This property really needs some renovations. I don’t think we will stay again in this property.
Staff was great. Rooms were clean. Area of location not the best with late night loiterers. Noisy patrons and early cleanings/hall activity meant not much sleep after long event days.
The hotel is plenty clean and managed well. The surrounding area is not so good, and outside the hotel, there were some sketchy people.
What's important is that the hotel is clean and safe. We had two good nights and were able to travel easily from the location.
The staff was excellent - friendly, efficient, helpful - clean room, cute breakfast area that was well stocked. Sketchy area, but great price and service. Was working at the Expo Centre for three days, and it was a convenient location. Always greeted by name by the front desk staff :)
Front desk was super nice, hotel rooms are clean enough. Bathroom had some stains which are pretty normal for how old it is. Buffet in the lobby was pretty good, would recommend if you need something close and decent. The only thing about this place is the crowd around the bar out front is pretty rough, and when I got back to hotel at 2am there were some shady people still hanging around which made me uncomfortable (not really the hotel staffs fault though). Overall would recommend for anyone who needs a cheap hotel for a short stay.
Inside of facility was well maintained for an older building. Suite was clean and staff were helpful and friendly. In a super dodgy neighborhood. Never felt safe outside the hotel and double locked the door inside.
This is an older hotel and in an older neighbourhood of Edmonton. It’s not the suburbs and it’s not a resort.
However we would stay there again as we got a clean room for 2 nights and although there may have been lots of homeless and less ideal patrons of the games room and bar around outside, the staff took security seriously and were awesome.
The societal issues are everywhere and until the Alberta government deals with the root causes of the issues better and more effectively I suppose we will continue to see the challenges grow and get bigger. Cant blame the hotel owners and staff for that and if you want a fancy place to stay at then maybe this isn’t your first choice, but the homeless situation will still be there no matter how it’s hidden in the newer areas. Be streetwise and use common sense. Otherwise if you want a friendly and cost effective place to stay then this may be the place for you.
The hotel itself is old and run down, however the staff was very kind and helpful. The biggest issue was the drug users hanging around the property and neighbouring businesses, clearly high and asking for money as you entered the hotel. There were also used needles on the property. It felt very uncomfortable.
