My experience was good wish they would let people know better about the parking cause now I have a 95 dollar ticket to pay imagine never been to a city book a hotel for 500 dollars no parking

It was clean good service

We arrived in NYC around 5:00 AM and went straight to the hotel to ask about early check-in. The room wasn’t available, which was completely understandable since check-in is at 4:00 PM. However, unlike most major hotel chains, there was no courtesy call, text, or notification when the room became ready. We left our luggage and explored the city, then returned at 4:30 PM—only to be told the room was still not ready. We ended up waiting in the lobby until about 5:30 PM before we could finally check in, which was frustrating after a long travel day. As for cleanliness, everything looked fine at first glance, but the bathroom counters were sticky and dirty, which was disappointing. Breakfast was decent, but the dining area was uncomfortably cold during winter. My coffee went cold within minutes. If it feels like 14°F inside, there’s really no benefit to eating indoors. A heater or better temperature control would make a big difference. Overall, the location is good, but the lack of communication, delayed check-in, cleanliness issues, and cold breakfast area took away from the experience.

Great price to value ratio and it’s in the epicenter of one of the best places to travel to in the country! I was able to check in an hour early at no cost, and the front desk staff were really hospitable. My room was also really clean which is huge to me.

I stayed at the Motto Hotel from the 18th–22nd. When we arrived, it was pretty late and the front desk staff member seemed extremely tired—almost falling asleep. I understand it was late, but I wish we had at least been given a quick overview of the hotel. There was no mention of where amenities like the gym were located, nor were we shown how to get to our room. Once we found the room, it was very average. One positive is that despite being close to Times Square, outside street noise was fairly quiet. Unfortunately, the soundproofing between rooms was poor—we could hear our neighbors and the guests above us very clearly. Personally, I would much rather deal with city noise than hear everything happening in other rooms. The location is definitely a strong point. It’s very convenient if you want easy subway access and plenty of quick food options nearby. One small but noticeable issue was the air conditioning. The air quality felt a bit dirty, and the AC kept turning on and off even after we tried turning it off completely. Overall, you get what you pay for. If you have the budget to spend more, I’d recommend upgrading to a different hotel. But if you plan to be out exploring most of the day and just need a place to sleep and store your things, it does the job.
