"Room was very clean, bathroom had plenty of towels to use. Staff was extremely friendly and patient! Great location to walk around and find coffee shops, stores, and restaurants- but quiet enough from all the bustling street noises to get plenty of rest and relaxation!"

"This is a great motel choice in SF on Lombard, a mile west of the crooked part famous for tourists. Lombard is US101 to the Golden Gate Bridge and Marin County. This motel is a block off the US101, a few streets down from the Union Street shops and restaurants, and a few streets up from Chestnut Streets shops and restaurants. It is a block from an entry into the Presidio of SF, and half a mile from the Palace of Fine Arts, Chrissy field beach, Table Top Park, and the Marina Green and the Marina Safeway grocery store, and Fort Mason. The property itself is in a cluster of Motels of good value along Lombard of varying quality and size and price, but many are excellent value especially off peak season, when you can get a room for about $100. Here, you get free limited parking (about 6-7 spaces) free WiFi, and a clean room with everything you would expect, except there was no coffee maker in my room, otherwise full or queen bed, refrigerator, safe, good size desk, flat screen TV, AC/Heater, a little table for 2, full bathroom, decent lighting, and decent bathroom products (shampoo, conditioner, skin cream) in 2 sets of 3 little bottles good enough for 2 for 3-4 days. Housekeeping may not be everyday, or at least one day the maid didn’t come to work. I stayed 4 nights. It is a little noisy being close to US101, usually when Buses and large trucks pass 1/2 block away, but otherwise fairly quiet near the Presidio. Office staff was nice and friendly. "

"We had 3 rooms reserved. The check in felt a bit clunky & unnecessarily long. The rooms were spacious, but the bathrooms felt very small. Laundry on site would have been great, we had to walk to a laundry mat. The bar area was very nice & we enjoyed the outdoor fire pits. The location is excellent. "

"Although our ‘Suite’ was right by the street it was surprisingly not too loud. The place itself doesn't look too bad, the issue with our stay was that the suite we stayed in had been trashed the night before (confirmed with front desk). Some floorboards had gaps between them and my lady almost fell because of that. The toilet paper holder was holding on for its life, and the toiled seat was crooked. Cigarette smell while walking in was also unpleasant, we had to open the window and leave the fan on while we were away. I understand this couldn't have been anticipated but i believe we should have gotten some kind of discount for the place being like this upon arriving. "

"I’ve stayed in large, more expensive hotels in SF that were less clean and spacious than Marina Motel. This will likely be our new go-to place to stay when visiting SF. The rooms were dated, but very clean. We didn’t cook, but it had all the basic equipment we would have needed. Our bed was very firm which didn’t bother us, but if you like a soft bed it may be too hard for you. It was great having a garage. However, they are super small and you may struggle to park in them if you have anything larger than a sedan or hatchback. The noise in the street facing room was noticeable but not so much that it bothered us or prevented sleep. It’s in walking distance to convenience stores, restaurants, and bars. Overall, I really enjoyed the stay. It felt like a relaxing place to come back to after a day exploring the city."
