"We stayed here on a Saturday night because we had planned a trip to Sequoia national Park the following day. The room was clean, the parking was free and not too far. Breakfast was good. The only thing I would say is the price was way too much for this location. The hotel is basically in the middle of nowhere and the surrounding area does not justify $424 for one night. We drove 45 minutes to another town for the evening to find food & things to do. The only reason we booked here was because there was nothing else available and it was a last-minute trip."

"Room was clean with nice clean towels that were practically new. Amenities were very nice especially the river access which was fun tubing and fishing for our kids. It was easy just to stay on property although we did venture to sequoia as well. It’s roughly an hour away from sequoia. Good location as there are cities about 20-30 mins away that have the familiar stores Walmart, target…etc. I would recommend this to families and friends. We stayed in a cabin with 2 queens and a bunk bed which was plenty for our family and dog."

"I liked that it sits directly on the Upper Kern River & there is a wonderful private beach. I The lodge staff is very careful to monitor the beach to keep outsiders from using it. There is also free parking and easy access to the rooms. They served coffee every morning in the patio area and there was an ice machine. I also liked the patio area and each room has 2 chairs and a cute large tree stump for a table. The beds were comfortable with cute sheets. The air conditioner worked great!! The lodge is old and could use an upgrade. The rooms and the bathroom are small. It would help if there were hooks in the bathroom. For two people one towel rack is not enough. Add one hook next to the shower and another next to the door. Also a few hooks in the room would help a lot."
