Hotel Aquila D

"I had a very pleasant stay at Aquila D Hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming from the moment I arrived. As I arrived before check-in time, they kindly offered to store my luggage while I explored the city, which I really appreciated. They were also very responsive to any questions or requests I had throughout my stay. The room was very clean, comfortable, and homely, with a TV and all the essential amenities I needed. I particularly appreciated that the room was cleaned daily, and the shower had consistently warm water. Breakfast was good too, making for a great start to the day. The hotel is also ideally located right in the heart of Durrës, making it convenient for exploring the city. Overall, I had a lovely experience and would happily recommend Aquila D Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with friendly, helpful staff and a great location."

"Staff were great, room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was great. The lighting in the bedroom is not good. The reading lights shine on the nightstands, not the bed, and cannot be moved. The lighting in the bathroom was worse. Water from the shower leaked under the glass wall, although there wasn’t an obvious place where it came from. Views from balconies were unpleasant. Great location very close to the beach and restaurants though. Worth the money."

"This Hotel is a little hidden gem, we loved everything about it . all staff were absolutely wonderful ,we recommend eating in their restaurant as the food is delicious, however there’s also is lots of sea front restaurants within 5 minute walk of the hotel , Pool area is lovely and they also have a private beach across the road . Rooms don’t have coffee & tea making facilities , however when I mentioned this to the owner she said ,we do provide kettles at reception ,so that isn’t a problem if you like to make a coffee in your room in the mornings.Breakfast is continental style with a very good selection of cereals meats & cheeses including lovely soft fried eggs ,freshly baked bread & homemade butter on offer ,and lots of yummy cakes & pastries all homemade . Our room was very clean & big , however try to book a room with a balcony over looking the pool , they looked very nice sadly all booked out on our stay . We would like to say a big thank you ! to everyone at the hotel for making our stay perfect for the 4 of us ."

"We would absolutely recommend this hotel! It was clean, beautifully decorated, close to the centre of town and only a 20 min walk to the promenade. As it’s in a local area, it can be quite loud and bustling outside, but it never bothered us because with the balcony door closed, you couldn’t hear a thing. We stayed in a Deluxe room and the jacuzzi bath was such a unique and fun touch. The air con in the room was fab and the shower was powerful and hot. My only suggestion is that the hotel could provide extra blankets or a duvet for the bed, as sometimes the sheet didn’t feel cosy enough! All in all we had a lovely stay and would definitely choose Ermes Luxury Hotel again."

"When we booked the room, there were long instructions thay said "There is no front desk at this property. Prior to arrival, guests must complete online registration with the property via a secure link. Guests will be asked to provide the property with a copy of their government-issued photo ID before arrival. Guests will receive an email within 48 hours before arrival with check-in instructions." However, we never received an email, so it was very difficult to find the exact location. We called the number provided, and the man who answered was very helpful. Also, it turned out that no such pre-registration was required. Once we got there, the staff was friendly and the accommodations simple but nice, just what we needed. There was a communal kitchen, but we had our own bathroom and mini fridge. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Also, we were able to securly park our car right there. Awesome!"
