The suite is very clean, comfortable and private. With Kevin’s excellent recommendations for places to dine (and other refreshments), it’s really all you need for a fantastic little getaway! Bonus of having your own private oasis in the back right off the suite. The property is located in a safe and quiet neighbourhood. A fabulous find — we’ll be back. And seriously, don’t forget to ask Kevin & Susanne for their recommendations. We had some of the best eats on the Island, thanks to their spot-on tips!

Rented this suite for a relative visiting from another province. She was very happy with all aspects of the stay. The only thing that really needs to change is the access to the entrance whuch is at the back of the house. You have to walk down a gravel slope and there are no stairs or handrails so the possibility of a slip and fall is there. My sister-in-law had a bit of difficulty getting her luggage up on her way out. Otherwise, everything is perfect and unless you are unsteady on your feet, elderly or otherwise mobility challenged you would be happy to stay there. They were doing landscaping while my SIL was there so it could even be remedied by now. If it's an issue you will want to confirm with the owners.

Suzanne and Kevin were so welcoming, even though we got there late due to the weather/ ferry. The suite was so clean and comfortable. Bed, pillows, everything. Highly recommend this property to anyone.

A hidden gem

The suite is situated at the back of Duncan with great views across to the mountains. It has access to the garden with two chairs. Great for relaxing . The suite is large and beautifully furnished and very quit. Duncan is an ideal base for exploring

A very warm welcome,a beautiful view from the amazing room and all the comfort you need for a stay on Vancouver island. If we are to come back to this part of Canada, this is where we're going to spend some time!

Nice room in private house

This is a room in a private home, not in a hotel. Actually, a suite with bedroom, bathroom and a living room (with TV and coffee machine). It has private entrance through terrace (with nice garden). The hosts are very nice, you can contact them for anything extra you might need – e.g., kitchen/laundry access. The house is relatively new, in an area still being developed. There are trails through forested area right across the street, and the view from the terrace is unobstructed (the other houses are at a lower level). The only drawback is that reservations through Expedia sites, including Hotels.com, do not handle credit card payments for them(other sites do).

This was a beautiful suite in the basement of a private home. The owners were very friendly and helpful people. This suite was beautifully decorated and had everything you could possibly need. It was very roomy and a comfortable place you could call home for your stay.

Suite in private home

Needed place to stay overnight in Duncan and catch ferry early next morning back to Vancouver. Did not realize that this was in a private home but very happy with accommodations. It was very private with a separate entrance. Furnished nicely but not overdone. Owners very nice. Wasn't prepared to pay them upon arrival as had thought we had paid through Expedia. To their credit, they had tried to communicate with us but I was not checking my email once I left home. Credit card not accepted but they were willing to take US$ with agreed upon exchange rate. We were happy with our experience in spite of this unexpected incident.
