"Beautiful hotel, stayed 5 or 6 times in past 7-8 yrs.
Always very good.
We did have an unfortunate incident with a bar meal the first night which I have notified the hotel directly about.
I will say it was nothing to do with the service or bar staff They were great.
The room we had was on the 5th floor. Very spacious with lovely bathroom and jacuzzi.
The view from the wrap around, floor to ceiling, corner windows was fantastic.
Total peace and quiet - which is about the important feature to us.
Parking is always busy but never a problem.
Breakfast can be very busy at peak times. Again the service is excellent. Generally the cooked breakfast is lovely. The exception being the scrambled eggs which did not taste or feel authentic
I would still stay any time and recommend this hotel to others."
"Breakfast had poor choice of fresh fruit, no potatoes of any kind, cold scrambled eggs and no fried or poached eggs available.
The rooms bathtub had been painted to hide some sort of nasty stain, and the water was not hot enough for me. The carpet had a few odd stains. The hair dryer did not work.
I will not return."
"We stayed here for one night with friends and overall had a very enjoyable stay. The hotel itself is lovely, the rooms were comfortable, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout. The facilities were also excellent.
Unfortunately, our experience at dinner let things down slightly. One of the meals (a double smash burger) was completely inedible and was returned, yet it still appeared on the final bill and was charged in full. This was raised at the time and should have been removed.
We were also told during a conversation about tipping that staff do not receive tips and that there is no point in leaving one. If this is the case, it’s quite disappointing and not something guests would expect.
Overall, a nice hotel and an enjoyable stay, but these issues did take away from what would otherwise have been a great experience."
"Staff was kind and very helpful. Hotel is updated and appealing with plenty of parking. The restaurant was fairly priced with good food. Breakfast was great to have but was very standard. Location vs price was to be expected. Room was large but the bathroom was very dated. There was a moldy shower curtain hanging in the bathroom. "
