Such a disappointment. So dreary in the furnishings - just like it must have been when it was Cunard’s flag ship I assume. Would have hated even when still in service 15 years ago to have taken a cruise on it. There is not a thing to recommend it as a ‘hotel’ to stay when Dubai is full of beautiful hotels. Thank goodness only booked for one night. If it hadn’t been so late when we arrived and was shown this ghastly room which just point blank refused to stay in, would have fled to another hotel. They finally offered a room that at least had a bed that wasn’t on a platform rammed up against the wall so would have made getting in and out of bed a right pain! The bed was not comfortable and the pillows were like lumpy old bread! No door on wardrobe. Found all the wood on the ship very depressing as is old dark brown - no pictures or attractive colours used on the decor anywhere. It has no appeal whatsoever in my opinion. Can’t think what the owners were doing when it was supposed to have been transformed into an hotel. No waiter service at all at breakfast - not even to bring you your initial cup of tea or coffee. Played ghastly music in the lido restaurant which I do not appreciate at any time, let alone breakfast. I will not go on.

I booked my tickets thru Expedia and paid before hand. When I arrived, they have this bogus charges and did not provide me the room I reserved because the host mentioned they were busy and rooms were taken. Why would you give my room away if I already booked and paid for it? Trying to get a different room, the charge is excessive. At check out, I asked for printed receipt, the receptionist, Paola Baolarisas and Craig took them over 30 minute while my infant of 4 months and wife waiting in taxi we requested for. I will never pee in that hotel, forget about stating. Terrible place

Don’t be fooled, the concept of the hotel is unique, but simply they can’t run it properly, you have to shout and call them tons of time to have anything done including taking lug down for check out, and hey stupid people who will say this is not requirement, please be far from this review, I booked an appointment at the beauty salon before check out and cancel it because they are very slow , and really was worried to lose my flight because, I called them million times just for the check out process and it caused me delay, catched a taxi in the last moment as the rush hour was already started

Check in was poor - not enough staff. Food was good but restaurant bathrooms were a disgrace. Request for extra bed (‘made 3x - point of reservation/verified with Expedia and at point of checkin) bed was not provided for when we took possession of room late at 8 pm- could not find staff to fulfill missing request. Phone calls to all numbers provided was not answered. No body answers the phones - not enough staff even restaurants can’t get management . Duty managers response not satisfactory to suggestion that failure to answer phone is a safety hazard
