The hotel did not take into consideration that I am an Expedia gold member even though I mentioned that upon check-in and sent them an email requesting a room upgrade upon availability (based on my gold member status) a few days prior to my stay. No one replied to my email and my Expedia gold status was not taken into consideration. Also, I booked a superior double room (non-smoking), and when we checked in, this type of room was not available, and we were required to choose between a superior double room (smoking) or a room with twin beds (non-smoking). When mentioning my gold status upon check-in, the receptionist mentioned that the hotel does not consider Expedia gold memberships.
