It's a working class hotel in a working class neighborhood. The hotel is clean, but overall not as nice as I expected. The most bothersome issue was the noise from airplanes flying overhead all night (often loudly). The internet was sometimes slow. I liked the fluffy and comfortable pillows and the clean white sheets

The hotel is clean, cozy and accessible. However the breakfast menu is limited and the ACs were under repair. avoid the 4th floor as its noisy with the ACs and the planes flying over. Overall the staff were kind and polite.

Good location to access old Dubai. Rooms were well appointed and functional, staff were friendly and helpful. There is some noice from aircraft as it’s close to the flight path however this is not unique to this hotel and most of Diera hotels have this issue, so if you are sensitive to noice then maybe book elsewhere in Dubai.

Breakfast was awesome and the staff are polite, honest, and nice especially Charles who is on the front counter, Manager (A Black Guy) who is helpful and Harris at the restaurant. City Avenue is a great hotel with staff giving the best service guests require. The security and restaurant team is very motivated. Bikash , the Chef , is very helpful. The FO staff are very well welcoming. The managers are always there to assist guests. The FO manager Mr. Suhas is very reachable and helpful. I stayed in Hilton Garden Inn in Dubai and my experience at City Avenue in terms of Customer care was way better. The Security Guards all in full suits are very helpful. You would think they are the hotel top managers. Derege and all the other security team made my stay great and memorable. I recommend this hotel to people who value customer service. Well done and keep it up City Avenue Al Muteena Dubai.

Great Value Stay at City Avenue Hotel

City Avenue Hotel exceeded expectations for its stars, price, and location. Though a bit older, it provided everything needed for a comfortable stay in Dubai. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had minor issues with a stuck sink plug and some carpet stains, but these were quickly fixed. The location in the old district was ideal, with great restaurants like Bagdad Restaurant nearby and easy metro access. Since we mainly explored Dubai and only used the hotel to sleep or rest, it was a perfect choice. The area is a working-class district for expats, mainly from India and Pakistan. Our female companions experienced some stares despite dressing modestly, which is less common in the city center. However, the area felt safe and offers cheap stays, great food, and easy transport. We booked two double rooms, both satisfactory despite minor noise from showers, hallways, and occasional airplane sounds due to the nearby airport. The last two days, some noisy families caused disturbance, but the staff tried to manage it. Breakfast was decent, with some variety—not gourmet, but enough to start the day. Overall, City Avenue Hotel offers great value for money, and we would stay here again when visiting Dubai.

I stayed several times in this property. It was cost effective and good condition. I stayed again there and they increased their rates a lot. The maintenance is bad. The toilet leaked all thé night long. I asked à quiet room, they assigned me a room at the 4th floor under the AC generators. They kindly changed my room but it was very noisy as well. The hotel is far from metro. The breakfast was bad. There is no coffee machine. Not even a mug or a glass, you have to make your own coffe with a nescafé powder. All that charged 80 $

If you are a light sleeper THIS IS NOT THE HOTEL FOR YOU!! I can sleep anywhere, but noise from aircraft at 3:00am was a bit much when I was jet lagged. Plenty of decent food options available for vegetarians nearby the hotel. There is a $30 USD tax and a $100 USD refundable deposit that need to be paid in cash at checkin, so make sure you have paper money with you when you arrive.
