"Staff was super friendly and the decor was very nice. The room was clean and comfortable. This is an old building so there’s no real ventilation which was not the best. The other issue I had was parking, but there is a garage that’s 24 hours if you need less then 2 blocks away."
"Clean property and rooms. Staff were helpful, not overly outgoing but not rude. Clean sufficient fitness room, it was equipped with enough weights to get in HIIT workouts. Good location!"
"My wife and I recently stayed at the Argonaut Hotel while celebrating her 21st birthday in San Francisco, and the experience exceeded every expectation.
The hotel itself is beautiful. The location is ideal, the rooms are comfortable, and the bay views create a sense of being connected to the city while still having a peaceful place to return to at the end of the day.
What truly distinguished our stay, however, was the staff.
Every person we encountered was gracious, welcoming, and genuinely committed to making our experience memorable. It never felt transactional. Instead, there was a feeling that the staff genuinely enjoyed being of service and helping guests feel comfortable, cared for, and at home.
A special thank you goes to Joanna, the concierge.
Joanna was extraordinary. Speaking with her felt less like receiving recommendations from a hotel concierge and more like receiving advice from a trusted relative who sincerely wanted us to have the best possible experience. She helped us navigate a very tight schedule, offered thoughtful guidance, and consistently pointed us in the right direction throughout our stay.
By the end of our visit, we thought so highly of her that we invited her to come visit us in Portland.
That says everything.
San Francisco gave us many wonderful memories, but the Argonaut became one of the anchors of the entire trip. It was a place we looked forward to returning to each evening and a place we genuinely missed when it was time to leave."
"We had a fantastic stay and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The location was excellent—just a block away from Chestnut Street, with its great diners, excellent bars, and live music. Everything we wanted was within easy walking distance, which made exploring the area so convenient and enjoyable.
We will definitely stay here again when we visit San Francisco and would highly recommend it to others looking for a great place to stay."
