The property is fantastic

The loft was wonderful! Really great location for old port! Really enjoyed our stay! Felt homely! We relaxed and felt so comfortable there! Would recommend!

Staff were friendly and helpful. Stayed one night (2 kids - 2 queens). Very comfy bed, generous checkout time at midday and flexible valet as we collected our car at 2:30pm after exploring Portland and heading onto our next pit stop. Very clean and had everything we needed. Had we stayed longer we’d have checked out the pool.

Excellent location within walking distance of all amenities. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room well sized and bed very comfortable. Restaurant food excellent.

Quite simply one of the loveliest, friendliest hotels I've stayed in for a while - helped by being in the most beautiful of cities. Friendly staff, great decor, spaces to read and work and good food. Room was lovely and spacious.

The room was lovely, it was clean, spacious and extremely comfortable. The hotel is beautifully maintained. There is a fire pit, lit every evening, visible from the bedroom window,a nice feature, The staff were very welcoming too. The hotel is also in a good location. I would definitely recommend staying there.

This hotel had a great location, large modern clean rooms. We were very impressed with the hotel and the staff.

Great location, convenient for our needs. The hotel offers a free shuttle into town or the airport. Very helpful and friendly staff.

The whole team were brilliant, but Gary was absolutely exceptional. His attention to detail and making sure every aspect of me and my partners trip was incredible. From local recommendations to helping us out with everyday bits like travel etc, he was brilliant! Give this man a raise!

Lovely property

Great hotel, located within a 15 minute walk to the seafront.

Friendly staff. Big, clean and bright room with excellent aircon. Gym and small pool were very nice bonus, plus the self -service laundry room. Great location minutes from the waterfront

Received a warm welcome from the new owner/hosts of this Inn which we were using as a stopover for one night. Our room was comfy and spotlessly clean, and, following a good nights sleep we were presented with an excellent Breakfast, the sconesbaked by Bill were some of the best we've eaten, and that is a big compliment having years of experience of Cream Teas in Devon/Cornwall in the UK.Our visit at James Place was relaxing and full filling(Breakfast that is).We would recommend heartily to anyone...
