"The hotel was very nice. Bed was extremely comfortable. Nice big tv. We only had two complaints. One, we stayed in a handicapped accessible room, which was very helpful. However, the shower was set up for wheelchair only. Meaning the shower head was waist level with no option to raise it up. Not everyone who is handicapped is in a wheelchair. Two, I understand that hotels put an additional hold on the card for incidentals. But $100 with no forewarning is a bit extreme. If they are going to charge that much, they should forewarn people, and not just in the fine print, which I’m not even sure it’s in there. Otherwise, our stay was great, very comfortable. And the breakfast was fantastic, lots of options! "

"I used to live in Lufkin and figured the hotel would be pretty good if it's associated with one of Lufkin's best restaurants. I was VERY wrong!!! Here are some pictures to prove it. I have no clue why we were given the handicap room. But it was what it was. We didn't even shower, we just wanted to get out of there!"
