"This property is directly on the beach making it very convenient. The front desk staff - Jeanie and RJ - were amazing and always handled requests quickly and in a genuinely, friendly manner. The continental breakfast was always running low on items well before the cut-off time - food and cutlery, alike - not sure if it was a staffing issue. There is no restaurant on site for lunch or dinner and no snacks or beverages to purchase either. We had to go off-site and stock up or use a service such as UberEats. We were there as a family for 9 nights and had our room cleaned once throughout the stay as the property does not offer daily housekeeping. The front desk offered us the one day cleaning as we had a longer stay but we would have preferred daily housekeeping, or at least every other day. However, the front desk was great at providing towels whenever we asked for them along with toilet paper and tissues when we ran low."

"This hotel was everything that I needed it to be!! I went for a few days to rest and reset. Perfect location steps from the beach. Excellent restaurants and snack/coffee bar. The pool area was nice and relaxing. You can also get food and drinks there. One of the coolest things was they have a catwalk and elevator that takes you directly to the beach!! The staff was so friendly and accommodating. My room was clean and the bed was so comfortable with a nice fluffy down comforter."

"Lago Mar is the kind of place that earns its reputation by simply doing everything right. Tucked away on a private stretch of beach in Fort Lauderdale, this resort feels both luxurious and genuinely welcoming — a balance many properties attempt but few achieve. From the moment you arrive, the cleanliness stands out. Not just "tidy" — immaculate. The rooms, common areas, pool deck, and beach itself were exceptionally well-maintained throughout the stay. You can tell this isn't a one-time deep clean before check-in; it's clearly a standard they hold every single day. That attention to detail makes a real difference in how relaxed you feel. The property is beautiful. Sitting right on the Atlantic, the private beach access is a genuine highlight — spacious and far less crowded than public stretches nearby. The pool area is equally impressive, with plenty of lounge space and that same spotless upkeep found everywhere else on the property. The vibe is classic Florida resort: unhurried, elegant without being stuffy, focused on letting guests enjoy themselves. Staff were attentive and friendly without hovering. If you're looking for a Fort Lauderdale beach stay that delivers on comfort, cleanliness, and a true sense of escape, Lago Mar is hard to beat. Would absolutely return."
