"Every detail on this property was executed to perfection. The second you are on premise, serenity and tranquility takes over. If I could give the staff 10 stars, I would. Their service level was masterclass and made my experience extraordinarily special."
"The place is absolutely beautiful.
We had a meal in the restaurant which was outstanding.
My only gripes were with the check in. I explained that we were leaving on the 8am train in a few days. They said that it might be difficult to get a taxi and gave me a card with taxi numbers on it but did not offer to arrange it for me.
They then got us to drag our heavy suitcases to our room which was quite a distance away and up a bit of a hill. It was boiling when we arrived so this was not great. I was expecting them to take it to the room for us win. the buggy carts they had at the property.
Finally they did not put us in a room next to our children.
Despite this initial poor impression the rest of our stay was excellent and I wouldd highly recommend the place."
"Our stay at this Duoro Valley wine estate was the absolute perfect way to relax and unwind after a fast paced tour of Portugal’s coastal cities. From the moment we arrived, the exceptional hospitality and incredibly helpful staff made us feel entirely at home. The property itself is visually spectacular, offering stunning, postcard ready views from every corner - whether lounging by the pool, dining at the restaurant, or relaxing on your hotel room balcony. The self guided audio walking tours around the vast estate were fantastic, allowing us to discover the historic vineyards at our own pace while stretching our legs. The on site wine tasting was a true highlight, while also having access to a scenic river boat tour right from the estate’s private dock on the river was incredibly convenient. Every morning started with a delicious, high quality, included breakfast spread. The dinners were absolutely awesome, showcasing fresh, flavorful, local dishes. If you are looking for an immersive, deeply relaxing vineyard getaway with world class scenery and top tier service, this property is an absolute dream."
"Our stay was relaxing and enjoyable. A slight delay with check in at 3pm. Our room wasn’t ready til after 4pm. I suppose it is to be expected in peak summer season. They stored our bags and we had a quick swim. Our luggage was delivered to our room and we received a bottle of wine in our room chilled ready to enjoy.
The room was fabulous with gorgeous views of the Douro Valley, and the pool area relaxing. Room service was delicious and convenient.
The staff were very helpful and accommodating to all of our requests.
A special mention on the excellent service of Rui Cardoso. We booked a wine and cheese tasting experience on our first day. Thank you Rui for explaining all the different cheese and wine pairings. Thoroughly enjoyable.
Breakfast was extravagant with a wide variety of food and beverages and a great coffee machine. Delicious. Plenty of car-parking available. Thanks for a great stay. "
"We were only here for one night, but it was a lovely stay! I wish we had more time to use the pool, but the room, the breakfast, and the view were lovely."
"This place far exceeded my expectations. The room was beautiful, fancy rain shower in the bathroom, large balcony overlooking the valley. It’s not a big place, maybe 12 rooms in total, so it was very quiet. The pool was lovely, also overlooking the valley. Breakfast was included and it was a great variety. Staff are very friendly and no language barrier for English. It’s up the hill about a 15 min walk from the train station and main area of the town. I highly recommend this as a place to stay in Pinhao.

"Lovely hotel. Breakfast was really nice. Pool was amazing. We were in the family room and it was very spacious with proper beds for the kids.
Didn’t eat at the restaurant as it wasn’t suitable for my kids but the staff recommended other local restaurants. No bar however they serve drinks and charcuterie.
Would happily stay again"
"The property was nice with wonderful spa options. However, the rooms seemed a bit dated and certainly didn’t feel like a five star surroundings. However, the staff and daily breakfast were wonderful!"
