"Lovely place in a nice spot on the lake. The grand lobby and restaurant in the resort were wonderful with panoramic views of Kentucky Lake. The room i stayed in was spacious with very comfy beds, lots of pillows and good A/C! I enjoyed taking walks around the property. It was a bit of a commute to get to my lower level, lake view room but the weather was beautiful so it was fine. Id definitely return!"
"Super nice rooms and awesome staff. really good prices for the quality of the facility. Just passing through but this is one of those places where you wouldn't mind staying for a while. Such a pretty town."
"This hotel has been a favorite of my wife’ and mine over the past few years. Recently, we’ve noticed it’s starting to show signs of wear and tear, and these need to be addressed before it changes the whole look of this great hotel!"
"It is an older property owned by the state of Kentucky, has not been updated, but it still had a charm. The old doors on each room, it was simple and very clean. Breakfast in the restaurant was fresh and prepared just as requested. So good. My waitress was the sweetest.
I was at my daughter's wedding and the desk clerk called to see if I was still coming because it was so late. She was so welcoming.
I heard some staff talking about how long it had been since they had gotten a raise. I felt so bad for them because each one I met gave their all to make my stay wonderful. They are the heart of the Kenlake and the as representatives of our state. They were a big part of my very restful stay for the mother of a bride. If you love simplicity, beautiful views, a good peaceful walk and friendliness, this is your place. Blessings!!!"
"It was a good place to rest your head for the night. Only thing I had issues with , Breakfast was good - However they were a bit controling with the signs everywhere stating food had to be eaten in the breakfast room ONLY. Every hotel I had stated out , I never once was told I couldn't eat breakfast in the my room. The breakfast room was filled up and there weren't enough table and chairs , So you basically have to stand around and eat your food , Or you wait until a table is open before you can grab breakfast, That was the only turn off for me.
