"Very clean, comfy bed, friendly service and a beautiful setting. The hotel is in an old wood and stone building, in the middle of the corn fields, with a view of the Pyrenees mountains. A very nice stay for a romantic getaway. The breakfast was good, continental. The only thing I would suggest is to put the coffee in smaller cups as it gets cold quickly, but that is the only thing I would change about my stay, it was beautiful! Merci! "

"We stopped for one night on an evening when the restaurant was closed. We were made very welcome (there are 4 rooms only and we were the only guests). The hostess cooked us a lovely three course dinner ( though menu was limited) and in the morning we has a lovely continental breakfast. Simple fair but plentiful. "We spent two lovely days in Pau and were delighted to be guests in the Hotel Le Roncevaux for that time. It is an older hotel but is nicely upgraded with all modern conveniences.
