"Mixed views on this hotel. The positives - common areas like reception, bar and outside space at front and side of hotel, gym are all modern, new and well maintained. The staff are all very friendly. Location pretty good, close to water, free parking at harbour area, decent restaurants close by. Negatives - rooms pretty small and basic albeit comfortable, but with awful tiny balconies that you wouldn’t want to sit out on. My view from room 408 was a pretty grim hotel / apartment complex. The gym only opens til 16:00 and not at all on a Sunday! Not particularly helpful for guests in my opinion. Breakfast was cramped and busy. We were delayed arriving by a few days due to storms in Rhodes. Contacted the hotel 3 times and received no response to any of my messages. Thankfully hadn’t given our room away and no refund offered for the missed nights. For the price I paid it was ok but I wouldn’t rush back. Disappointed by Rhodes in general…"
"Lovely hotel, wonderful views - bar and reception staff were excellent. Lots of nice touches and features.
If this were a four star hotel I'd be rating it excellent.
Gripes: Breakfast had a huge range, but few coherent meals - missing basics like strawberries, bananas (most days), granola. The pool bar staff were lovely, but the cocktails were essentially 11 euro waters. It took 48 hours after requesting it for our private pool to be cleaned - despite us watching them clean pools in empty rooms. Our "skyline view" room had no view of the sky until you went out onto the terrace - the rooms are oddly nested so that your pool and terrace is elevated - so the view from your bedroom is essentially a wall.
We went very early on in the season, but it felt like we were a dress rehearsal for the season. We did not take the half board option, and I'm very glad we didn't as the majority of options were buffet dining - which never feels special. We opted to walk 2kms most nights down the main road to restaurants - but appreciate few would want to be doing this, so you're either paying 15 euro taxis to get to restaurants/nightlife or you are accepting you are in one of three venues to dine your entire stay.
Overall: it was a perfectly pleasant place. If you just want to switch off and be taken care of then you'll have a fantastic time. It is a 'big' hotel and so it naturally lacks some of the personal touches. It was one of the cheaper 5 stars, but still felt 4 star. "
"Wonderful experience. Room nice and spacious, clean, comfortable; breakfast was excellent; and perfectly placed in the town, with everything within easy distance. If I have cause to be in Rhodes Town again, this is where I'll stay. Thank you so much :-) "
"The staff were incredible - supportive, kind and informative. The entire hotel was spotless and the food and drinks were great, absolutely zero complaints!"
