i was charged extra after leaving the hotel for not having replaced the dishes in the cupboard (i washed then and left them on the surface to dry) and apparently i was expected to empty the trash myself. at a hotel. and i was supposed to glean this information from a sticker posted on the wall.

It would have been perfect had there been a solution to the laundry services. I had run out of Euros, and there was no option to purchase this service on site other than via euro coins, €8.00 was all that was needed but without coins to that value I was unable to use these services. Could you look into adding this option when booking this type of accommodation; similar to breakfast!

It was adequate but spacious for the price, and staff were friendly. Breakfast was good. Exactly half of the 10 lights in the apartment had blown bulbs or just did not work. Self catering would have been useful if any shops were open to purchase food but it was Sunday, so no luck for me. The loo was disgustingly stained and set under a huge water tank which I banged my head on trying to use it.

Great property for the money. Excellent area. Very quiet. Easy to walk downtown. Very friendly front desk staff. The property is a bit tired but there are a lot of renovations taking place. Parking is great. Wifi is good.

Very run down hotel. Everything very shabby. Wouldn't recommend under any circumstances. Nothing like the pictures they advertise. Not even a 1 star. Divonne is a nice town though.

Decent stay whilst visiting family...!
We stayed in Divonnes over New Years and stayed at the Versoix on 2 separate occasions. The rooms were spacious as an apartment and reasonably clean. The second apartment (we extended our stay for a few days) was better, more spacious and felt better. The one drawback from the first apartment was the smell of aged cigarette smoke lingering in the room. Check first...! Overall a decent experience if ou need to stay on the French side - Geneva is 25 odd minutes away

We arrived beyond the desired check-in time of 8pm (kind of early for a hotel), but made the call to Hotels.com and they gave us instructions on how to get our keys. Of course, the threat of a 30 Euro late check-in fee was always in the back of our minds. When we go to the room, that is when it got very interesting! The apartment was setup in a strange way, two floors - and things looked outdated. As we proceeded up the stairs to the main living space, we could see the countertops are so old the formica surface had been damaged numerous places and had gotten wet - causing the particle-board backing to bubble-up and separate (and mold is setting in). Same with the skirt on the bathtub - falling apart and looked very nasty. The tile floor was cracked in the kitchen. There was an odor in the apartment - it was either wet paint or smoke-smell from previous renters. The water in the shower was at least warm, but when you try to run the sink water and the shower at the same time there was zero flow to the shower. Also, this was affected by people in other apartments running their water at the same time. Hotel rules require you to take all trash bags out to the bins yourself (I mean come-on, really - the cleaning crew can't handle this service???). Don't drink the water from the sink - it tastes bad! My wife and kids were trying to convince me to leave and find another hotel...however after driving 12 hours up from Italy I was too tired to find another place. Good luck!

Dear guest, I am verry disappointed by what I read. First of all, our opening hours are well written on Hotels.com website and WE DO NOT CHARGE any fee for the late check-in. Moreover, you booked a duplex apartment and the definition of this apartment is : apartment on 2 floors, connected by stairs So, it should not be a surprise for you... Regarding the general condition of the apartment, I grant it is a bit outdated but we are starting some renovation : painting, as you have seen, and soon the change of furniture. Then, we ask you to bring your trash bags to the garbagge room if you have a lot, not for 2 cotton buds It is not a "rule", it is suggested in order to help our housekeeping team. Finally, the sink water is drinkable. We have this chance in Europe! It is a shame to write this kind of comment while some underdeveloped countries dream about that. Regards,

It is ok forvstag do, but not a family. The staff were brilliant but the decor and home comforts were not there .ten ins frommtown centre, and easy to walk. Needs to bring dome home comforts in, but would use again for sure if with the lads.

This is truly a minimal accommodation facilities. Water pressure in the bathroom was very low. Room was smelly. Beds were so uncomfortable and not enough pillows and blankets. Nothing positive about this place besides the welcoming smile at the reception.

We checked in but once viewed the room/apartment had to return to reception to refuse the room as it was poorly maintained and unclean. There were balls of hair in the bathroom and all the sink surrounds were very overdue being replaced as swollen and unhygienic. Receptionist very pleasant and offered another room. He accompanied us to the second room but although it was a little cleaner it was still very poor. We refused to stay at the hotel and said we would demand a refund from Expedia (which we did achieve). The photos on the website must be at least 10 years old.

Friend and helpful staff nice reception cheap breakfast and very nice. Apartments need to be updated and taken care of more. The front appearance is a bit deceiving as it looks very nice from the front then you get at the back of hotel to your room and it is run down.

Very helpful staff, even we were so late in the night but they come out to the reception for us. very convent if planning to lake Geneva or surrounding areas. took only 20 minutes drive from the hotel. free parking, free Wifi with a beautiful balcony.

A clean place to sleep in a quiet community.
We had a two room suit. Beds were ok. Linens were clean. Easy, free parking. This seems to be a condo/apartment/hotel situation, which was a little strange. There was an annoying sound in the kitchenette that seemed to be coming from wind rushing around unsealed pipes. Front desk staff was cheerful and very helpful.

Nice Apartment/hotel well situated for Geneva
on arrival we were pleasantly greeted and found we had been upgraded. The apartment had a small kitchen, large family room, balcony, bathroom, toilet and bedroom.We had a pleasant stay close to relatives (just across the border) for a fraction of the cost of staying in Switzerland. Definitely recommend this place, but suggest do your own breakfast - cheaper than the reasonably good one you can book direct with the hotel.

Hotel is good, nice and clean, all services worked except for the fan, we wanted to use fan only, but it works when you turn on the heating. Overall good experience at the price we paid specially the convenience of driving down to Geneva and other near by attractions. will use it again.
