"Last minute while at airport I received an email to say that the place reserved was no longer available. After being on the phone for over an hour I was offered another place which was smaller. I had no choice but to take it or me and my kids would have been on the street. Upon entering the place, it was immediately noticed that it was not clean, no light bulbs, 1 tv in one of the bedrooms. "The property was beautiful, well-maintained, and very inviting. The pool area was definitely a highlight—the mid-morning and afternoon poolside activities were lit and brought great energy to the resort! The Xaymaca show was amazing and easily one of the highlights of my stay. Most of the wait and bar staff were kind and attentive. One area that could use improvement is the dress code policy and how consistently it is enforced. It appeared that exceptions were made for some guests but not for others, which was a bit frustrating. Greater consistency would make the policy feel fair to everyone. I’m also not a huge fan of the wristband chip being used to unlock the room doors, although I understand the convenience and reasoning behind it. Overall, I had a very enjoyable experience."
