Perfect stay
Beautiful room, amazing location, great hosts and a lovely breakfast. The hotel is in an incredible old building in the heart of Dinan. There’s a truly beautiful lounge for the use of guests and the hosts are charming and helpful. Highly recommended!

This is a beautiful old, well maintained property centrally located in the historic city center. It was comfortable and quiet. We woke each morning to the sounds of an owl and bells of the nearby clock tower. We enjoyed the shared living room and dining room spaces. Staff was accommodating but not superior.

Our Favorite Hotel During Our Trip
We loved our stay at La Maison Pavie. Of the four hotels that we stayed during our trip to France, this was the most enjoyable. The room was very nice and spacious. The bathroom was large (nice two person shower, strong pressure). Parking was included which was very convenient. Excellent location right in the center of town, but also very quiet. The lounge room was perfect to get away and drink a cider or some tea, maybe even catch up on some emails listening to some chill music. However, the best part was the host, Ghislain. He was super nice and informative and a pleasure to talk to. He was very gracious and presented a very lovely breakfast for the guests. We recommend staying here if you are ever in Dinan.

A real gem
I love this place and look forward to going back some day. Our host was very helpful, personable, and spoke perfect English. Our room was quite large and the bathroom was perfect. The bed was comfortable and our views were beautiful- the cathedral on one side and the patio and morning sun on the other. The fantastic array of teas was especially nice in the evenings.

very steep and narrow staircase with rope railing
We never even saw the bedroom. At 72 years of age, we could not make it up the very narrow winding staircase with a rope for a railing. We also noted a slight odour of must/mould, and we are both very allergic to it. We had to find other accommodation. We were charged for the room, but did not use it.

The building was uniquely and lovingly restored. Our room was in the attic, and the shower was transparent, and set in the middle of the room. The toilet was in a small closet, but you could stand up in it. If that’s not your style, I would advise you to request a room other than the attic. Jerome, the owner and manager was wonderful. Very accommodating. The breakfast was lovely, served at a long common table which facilitated visiting with all of the other guests. That location is close to the centre of the old town, across the Square from a beautiful old church in which we heard singing and bells in the afternoon. Completely walkable even for senior citizens if you don’t mind cobblestones. I would definitely recommend this Maison, but I would avoid the attic room.

Nice property and very friendly host. Nice breakfast. The room could have been better, maybe there are better rooms at property. The access to room was not easy and room had a peculiar layout and bathroom arrangement. Room directly under roof, no AC, during the summer it maybe very hot, now at end of September was OK.

Simply wonderful!
This place was absolutely amazing! Located right in the historic center of Dinan next to the Cathedral. It looks old on the outside and super well kept and completely redone inside.The host Jerome is polite and attentive and, if it matters to you, he also speaks English (he advised us on a great place to eat, called to make sure they were open). He also sent me an email with directions on his own even without asking.The provided breakfast was fantastic,excellent wi-fi, everything is super clean, the bed is very comfortable, the bedding and towels - high quality. Dinan is amazing town and La Maison Pavie was in my opinion the best choice for us. Wish we could stay here again some day!

Perfection in Dinan
Maison Pavie is a lovely complement to a visit to Dinan. While the website photos were intriguing, the reality of the place exceeded expectations. The owner, Jerome, has fashioned a sophisticated yet homey spot. All details were perfectly curated, including the presentation of breakfast, which was the best hotel/b and b meal I've had in all my years of traveling. Our room (Angkor) was large, spotless, and full of great amenities, including a platform shower/sink that was part of the room. Windows front and back allowed for views of the square, and the hotel garden. Dinan itself took our hearts, and we regret that our travel plans did not allow us to stay at Maison Pavie a second night to enjoy both the hotel and the town.

It's all in the details. This hotel feels like something out of a novel or fairy tale. My 8 year old inner child and 30 year old self were equally giddy. The historic building is warm and inviting. There is both a dinning area full of coffee and teas, and breakfast in the morning, a common area and unique bedrooms. The location couldn't be more central or perfect. Jerome is welcoming, and accommodating. He has thought of every detail. I can't recommend this place more.

Give your trip a peace and joy break in Dinan.
This home away from home is so unique — just book and thank me later. The amazing architectural development of an era 1500 house is so comfortable, beautiful and welcoming, as is host Jerome. The breakfast is tasty and fun at a shared table. We felt very pampered at La Maison Pavie and found Dinan worth a multi-day visit for all the things to do and places to eat!

Very old historical building, completely renovated in 2010 with lovely design and furnishings. Right downtown, with easy access by car if you have a rental. Jerome was a very gracious host. Breakfast was a delight, and common areas were appreciated for quiet time. Tea and coffee always available. Comfortable bed, and nice linens. Many bistros and restaurants close by to walk to. We would stay again.

Great host, lovely location, lovely property with 5 individual and well appointed rooms, great reception room and their stylish dining room, e.g. used for breakfast. Great selection for breakfast. Maison is right in the centre of the old town, right next to the church and they have good arrangements for (free) parking. Had dinner at Les 3 Lunes, which can be recommended for food and service. All in all a fantastic experience in Dinan.

La Maison Pavie a real treat
Absolutely fantastic hotel tastefully refurbished. Breakfast was amazing and Jerome a super host. We liked this hotel as it has only 5 bedrooms and ideally placed in the old quarter of Dinan. We hope to re visit on a short break again

Fabulous Place to Stay in Dinan!
The ancient building contains all the up-to-date amenities. Jerome is a wonderful host. Breakfast is wonderful. Easy nearby parking is included in the price. My wife and I loved our three nights at Madison Pavie. BTW Jerome speaks very good English.

Wanted to stay in the 15 century house and it was a great idea. This home is completely remodeled by the owner. It's conveniently located next to the center of the town. Continental breakfast was great and included as well as parking.

Excellent location in the heart of the old city. Great view of the cathedral from our room. Very friendly host which makes you feel warm and welcoming. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic. Better than the ones we paid for at other hotels. Overall a very pleasant stay. Would recommend it to anyone.

Beautiful room
Great host, incredible town, great room. Centrally located, I just wish we had another week. We had to choose (tough choices) on what to see. Dinan itself is worth at least two days. Incredible market on Thursday. St. Malo, 30 minutes away, as well as St. Michel. Jerome took care of our luggage, which was great because our room was two floors up a winding staircase.

Historic house next to Cathedral
Beautifully reconstructed XVth Century house which Jerome runs with incredible attention to detail. Everything is beautifully considered, presented and cared for, and we loved staying there in the very centre of the historic walled city of Dinan. We had a very quiet, peaceful stay, delicious breakfast and Jerome could not have been more helpful. Car parking is organised in a nearby multi-storey which is easy to use and included in room rates - we thought the latter were extremely reasonable.
